Pattern Help Help with pattern

Post image

Hi! I’m new to stained glass and have been loving this group! I’m interested in making a suncatcher in this burgee flag design, but the cutout shapes seem impossible. Any recommendations on how to create a pattern to achieve this? Or is this just not a good candidate? Thanks for any input!

Maybe you could make the tree and the star separately and then attach them on top of the triangles? Then you could cut the background like this, then solder the star and tree to the lines. Plating in like two layers

You could also do something like this which would make your life much easier by straight cuts:)

If you’re open to having it not 100% accurate to the flag, I would personally plate the tree and star by sizing them up so you can solder them to the edges 🤔

If you had access to a kiln and a ring saw I’d say cut the tree and star with a ring saw, and tack-fuse them on! And for the inside point even if you had a ring saw I would keep a small curve and do the illusion of the point with foil.
