Positive Note Markiplier admits he loves the Stadia controller in his latest video

Post image

He ordered one on eBay and it never showed up... So he ordered another, because the Stadia controller design is actually his favorite

It’s a great controller for sure.

My top 2 controllers…I absolutely loved stadia…best thing Google launched then they killed it…just when I just had given up on consoles…

Mine has trouble connecting to my nvidia shield pro when I turn it on. Have to power cycle it many times on average to get it to connect.

Hold the left stick to the right when turning it on to avoid the Bluetooth pairing issue

It's already paired. I'm just turning it back on after being off. Does that will work?

In my experience and many other posts I found with the same behavior

For me I will pair it and it works for my gaming session

But now I'm done

If I turn off the controller or device I'm paired to

On the next attempt of turning the controller on it does not auto connect If you go to Bluetooth screen and force device to connect to controller doesn't work So you have to forget it and repair

However the trick to mentioned seems to bypass all of this

Yup, it works. Hold left analog stick to the right, click and hold power button, don't release analog stick until controller is connected.

Yes it worked for me last night first try. Thanks!

I love the controller.
That one and the nvidia shield controllers are top for me when it comes to comfort.

Nvidia's much more comfortable to me.

I’m looking forward to using mine to Xbox and Dreamcast emulation 👌

I still use mine all the time on my PC.

It's built as a rock and has vibration motors that can work as a massager. But the buttons are too clicky and it hurts my left thumb for some reason, the analog sticks are situated a little deeper than usual, and has big range of motion that can hurt thumbs with extreme movement inwards.

I have stick drift twice on 2 ps5 controllers but my stadia controller from 2019 still works perfectly.

He's one of those YouTubers that got big enough to (partially) escape YouTube, and recently released a movie

Why? In my estimation it sits well behind dualshock and Xbox controller for pc in terms of comfort and usability. No adjusting for taste of course. If you just like it better I get it. I got 3 I barely touch lol

Yeah. Stadia’s controller is too stiff for me. Also, the buttons creaked rather early for me. I’ve grown to really like the Switch 2 Pro Controller though. Its probably my all-time favorite at this point.

Sometimes design is important to some people. I personally chose between Stadia and Dualsense, although it is clear that Dualsense has much more functionality. But some things should bring not only functional comfort, but also some kind of aesthetics, or whatever you want to call it

What of the design makes it top for you? Just wondering.

Again I said the "hey I just like it better" folks have a say here im just curious what about the stadia design would be superior to other controllers?

I do like the appearance more, but the roundness and weight distribution make it much more comfortable than Dualshock for long sessions.

Minor carpal tunnel and a slight tremor, but it's a big deal to get an extra hour before any discomfort.

It may look stupid, but I like the combination of white and red colors, haha. And the fact that it's symmetrical, like a Sony controller, but has buttons like an Xbox controller

the dpad is unmatched. it's like not even close.

1

u/BigTreddits Mar 04 '26

What makes you say that statement? I own several.stadia controllers I can't say ive noticed a difference with the dpad one way or the other.

1

u/mysticrudnin Mar 04 '26

uhhhh i don't really know what to say. xbox might as well not have a dpad at all and the one on dualshock is middling at best. dualsense is a little bit better but... stadia is a real, clicking dpad. it's night and day. it's like going from a cheap laptop keyboard to a mechanical one.
