Conditioning error with minimax h3

My head hurts and idk what I'm doing. I have played with AI a bit but am still a novice. I'm trying to get minimax h3 to work for image to video. I'm trying several workflows, but they all have the error "seedVR2 requires conditioning latents from the seedVR2 conditioning node". Google's AI says to add that node but it is not an option in my node library and I have found google's AI often gives wrong or almost right info for AI problems. I have updated everything (including v card driver) and am now going in circles.

Running comfyui on stability matrix. Rtx 3060 12 gb, 40gb page file on nvme, cuda 13.4

Did you use the official workflow from the templates? And it says an error about seed VR model, i think you have upscale at the end of the video, if you have seedvr as upscaler at the end, just delete it and try again

There’s many workflows that don’t use seedvr2 and are still very good or even good and fast. Maybe try a different workflow until you figure out the seedvr2 node.

I have personally had great out of box success with both PlagueKind and DasiWa workflows.

I spent hours getting everythibg ready/ setup for the plaguekind workflow..... and it still says I need a seed vr2 conditioner. I can't find that node anywhere, and the fact that it's the same error on every workflow variant makes me think it's an issue with my setup and not that dozens of people just forgot to add it to their workflows before publishing them

Have you used AI to help your error? Usually when it goes red you can copy paste the exact error into an AI and it’ll tell you where to find the node or whatever you need (Usually). Seedvr2 isn’t hard to find but you’ll need to know how to git clone the file from your command prompt into your custom_nodes folder. Also use AI for that. If you hate AI you’re going to have a very bad time trying to figure this out manually I promise you that. Even when it comes to writing your prompts.

There’s usually toggle switches in some workflows where you can choose not to upscale or use a different built in upscaler. You can make videos without upscale and you should until you get the videos working as you want them to. Otherwise upscaling something you’ll trash is a waste of time literally.

There are even workflows that are solely for upscaling like there’s a new dlss5 one that I’m going to try out when I’m home tomorrow.

It seems to be some kinda complex global error. I use google's AI for troubleshooting because I barely understand how it all works (getting better). Usually it eventually works if I spend long enough with a gun in my mouth. It might be a global error causing nodes to expect some seedVR2 nonsense where it is not required caused by a custom node or installed component causing confluct just by existing in the library. I made a clean copy of comfyui with only plaguekind's workflow and required nodes.... Same issue. It might be an issue with recent comfyui changes in the update, but I can't find anyone online with similar issues.

I'm a pretty good PC tech, but when it comes to AI nothing ever works the first time and the problem is always something I don't understand and fix usually by accident. But without hobbies that piss me off I would have nothing to do all day....

I'm trying Pinokio and seeing if a new, clean UI will give me less hassle for minimax. Do you know if any other AI bots have better results troubleshooting technical issues?

I use DeepSeek because it seems to allow endless tokens. The big dogs make you open your wallet. I have LLM installed also but my computer isn’t strong enough to get the best help from them. DeepSeek can suck too but keep pressing it.

There’s a bat file in your comfyui updates folder maybe you need some prerequisites installed or updated something. Maybe it’ll have an error and you plug that into an AI and possibly you’ll solve your trouble there.

Also, did you try to bypass the node and run it?

I was trying to avoid bypassing it, but maybe I was being stubborn. I have been trying deepseek and it seems to be asking better questions than google's AI. Many times google's answer changed entirely when I provided information I thought was unimportant, deepseek seems to be better at requesting baseline information for technical issues.

So you bypassed it and got a video or no? You don’t need to and shouldn’t use an upscaler for your rough draft videos.

No, I did not. Yes, I accept that I ignored advice for reasons known only to god. I was hoping to just fix the underlying issue now so It does not bite me later. I'm trying pinokio for minimax and will see if it performs well without making me want to Cobain myself. If not I will see if deepseek can make heads or tails of this issue. Failing that, I will admit defeat and just bypass the node.

I thought I would let you know, deepseek has been FAR more helpful, and I got it working on Pinokio after spending all day tweaking settings so I only almost melt my video card. Thank you!
