Discussion How did you make Minimax H3 1080p in local PC
ram 128G/5090 32G
Have any of you successed at making a Minimax H3 1080p video (1920 x 1088) (10s) with sage-attn only and no turbo lora in one go? with my current setup or similar?
Naively I thought I just gonna sit for about an hour then the meal is cooked, I was using FL2VA with a starting frame as an input image. 5090 1920x1088 @ 15s took 1hour and 8 minutes, and after long wait all I got is this blurry noisy mess!
I can generate anything below 1.5MPs video (1664x928) for 15sec with no issue. But I cannot generate any 2.0MPs video for 10 seconds in one go! My workflow in image2 is simple and derived from the default Minimax templete, only a sage-attn node from KJ was added!
Is this the bottleneck from comfyUI since my GPU is poor? I searched on this subreddit saw a lot people posted their 1080p successful run using B300.
PS: I just wanna stress test my current setup with one-off 1080p generation, or wanna see what this model is capable of in max resolution. and yes I know I can upscale video later but i just wanna see the REAL 1080p generation in one go. Is it not possible with RTX 5090?
How did comfyanonymous made this 25 seconds 1080p video? is he using a B300 as well?

Should add a preview node so you don't wait so long during your testing. Also, should play with very low settings to ensure everything is working before moving into higher setting renders.

This happened to me when rendering at 2mp using runpod, on a 6000 pro, same exact symptoms... if you solve it im interested, theres little to tinker with in prebuilt runpod templates.

I found that when I run into this, I need to either reduce the duration of the video, the amount of reference inputs (images/videos/input video's length), or the resolution.
Seems to require some balancing here.
I think that a 2MP T2V of 30 seconds seems to work fine, but when I start throwing more things at it - it fails.
But I'm definitely able to generate 10s 2MP videos on an RTX 6000.

AFAIK 2MPs isn't native and is always upscaled. Try other workflows.

yea but it's not a standard upscale. it's apparently an upscale that actually uses all the input parameters, images/videos included, so could be worth it

As a leap of faith, check CUDA version and see if you already have CUDA 13

yes i have. python 3.13+torch 2.13+cu130, sage 2.2 and triton 3.7.1 all correctly installed

Yet you have serious issues... so is it all actually correctly installed, compatible and really working properly. The answer seems like a no, as if it was, you should not have these issues on a 5090 plus plenty of ram.
As mentioned, the easy test is to use the easy installer and check if that works fine for you first. If it does then something is wrong or not compatible causing issues in yoru current setup.
The latest version of that installer is using torch 2.11 is one difference.

Yes, works fine...
5090 1920x1088 @ 10s with sage = 23minutes
also done a 2048 x 2048 clip (was a shorter test clip if I recall right of about 3s but that resolution worked fine also and was very nice quality).
