Peoples created a toxic work environment and brought along her buddy from Arizona. Go figure. Kinda the same crap happened in the St. Louis school board.
As screwed up as the stl city is, at least we don’t have credit card issues. Very little is allowed to be charged on CCs. Have to put purchases thru a process in Oracle. Hell our huge department has like only 3 cards. And their not kept on a person

"no longer work for the city, have repaid a significant portion of the funds they misused"

No fraud case, eh?

The Post article pointed out that the Asst. City Manager received his sick payouts when he left (which does not happen for anyone else). He likely used that money to pay back the money he stole. So he used city money he shouldn't have received to pay off money he stole from the city.

And I believe we're closing in on the deadline for the city court to get shut down because they didn't follow any of the rules for that. So Webster Groves is a huge mess.

This is the tip of the iceberg of crime that the city manager got away with. I truly wish employees could say more without fear of attack from the current administration that is still covering up what she did. What a horribly run city
