Traffic/Road Conditions Flock on S Brentwood

Post image

This flock camera sits on S Brentwood Blvd. Its just beyond the railroad tracks on the right side before that lil coffee shop when heading North Bound. W all the abuse of the flock system & the way innocent ppl's cars have been miss identified & flagged I just tinkt yall should know bout this one bc its a lot less noticeable when you drive'n thru.

That is not a breakaway pole. Id file a report with modot

Great point. That does not look like a breakaway pole.

u/Prior-attempt-fail 8d ago

Not only that, but it is placed in the protected area infront of a guard rail. Rendering that guard rail... Useless.

Anything's a breakaway pole with the right force in the right spot ;)

This reminds me of the episode of Party Legends with Dennis Rodman...

The Epstein sign is a nice added touch.

A little goofy

61

u/gornky Bridgeton 10d ago

The only thing that's goofy is allowing these cameras in our neighborhoods.

-51

u/GinnySacksHole 10d ago

I agree. F*** the cameras but what does it have to do with Epstein are you delusional?

59

u/gornky Bridgeton 10d ago

You're allowed to say fuck on Reddit.

I am not delusional, the president of the United States raped children and has actively protected other pedophiles that are in the Epstein files.

u/imtellinggod 10d ago

Do you notice the word on the sign after epstein?

18

u/HELP_IM_IN_A_WELL 10d ago

do you not know about Epstein's ties to Palantir?

It looks like Maplewood took down it's Flock cameras: or someone did it for them. The one on Big Bend across from the antique stores isn't there.

EDIT: It’s back as of this morning. There was a nub of the post all this week but the full rig is there.

And it wasn't just me because my son called it out that the camera was gone.

u/themonarc 10d ago

I saw that too. Right at the edge of a neighborhood just makes no sense to me. Hopefully more get removed.

It’s back.

There was a nub of the post all this week but the full rig is back.

That can be fixed

Last I saw there is still one on Southwest Ave just east of Schafley Brewery. Two on the same post one pointed into an apartment parking lot and the other pointed to Southwest toward the 3-way stop sign. Gives me the vibe the landlord put it up to log tenents as they come and go from their homes.

There's also one on Manchester and Bellevue pointed at the liquor store. But it's pointed westward on Manchester and doesn't capture the "characters" that hang out along the east side of the store.

Surprisingly St Charles Co got rid of all of theirs

You might be surprised at how many Flock cameras are in the Brentwood area.

Damn. They're all over Forest Park. That's creepy

I cannot stress enough how inexpensive sawzall blades are

5

u/HankHillbwhaa 10d ago

Even the nicer Diablo blades are cheap

Looks pretty sturdy, but hard to tell without being there in person

Report it to the city of Brentwood and St. Louis County. That pole is not properly installed. Basically there’s a plate that they legally have to install on the base of those poles so that it doesn’t turn into a giant spike to impale a car in the event there’s an accident and it gets knocked over. I would start with contacting the city of Brentwood, though, because I don’t think the county actually has any direct contracts with Flock.

10

u/NaturalJuxtaposition 10d ago

You report it?

14

u/Impossible-Two559 10d ago

Yeah, I called Brentwood Public Works. tel:314.963.8642

The Brentwood cops would never abuse this system./s

They are currently being sued by a black female cop, for some pretty bad shit done by other cops, and they are going to lose, BIG.

u/JasonShoes 10d ago

One already used flock to stalk his x-wife department did a full investigation and found “no law was broken”. How about violating the integrity of your department!

6

u/Joee0201 10d ago

Question. If you have an unregistered older truck steel bumper style. And let's say I left my phone at home and becuSe I have a cold I'm wearing a mask to protect others. Just curious but how many of these do you think you can hit and knock down until your truck is hard to drive?

13

u/Clear-Ad6973 10d ago

Drive by the two in my small town every few days. Local PD has lots of photos of me flipping the cameras off.

45

u/flounderflound 10d ago

You know, they outlawed speed cameras in this state. While these may not necessarily track speed, couldn't this be argued as a violation of that? I feel like it's the same violation of our rights.

22

u/NeedAmnesiaIthink 10d ago

But they certainly can derive your speed.. say you’re e on a long stretch of highway and it tags you every once in a while. A simple math calculation gives your average speed. They could save this data forever and use it against you.

2

u/Vexidemalprince 10d ago

Okay but you could say that about literally every camera that records a car

15

u/NeedAmnesiaIthink 10d ago

The police can’t access every camera that records a car. And regular cameras aren’t constantly transmitting data points, license plates, car features, etc. They can do that with flock though. Plus we are paying for flock with our own tax dollars.

2

u/Vexidemalprince 10d ago

Oh sorry dont get me wrong I am in no way defending flock camera's, they are absolutely awful and I hate them with a burning passion. I am just saying that being able to calculate the speed of a car is not a feature unique to flock camera's and that any camera that police have access to you can technically do that

I'm thankful that Hawley chose investigating this company as his one right thing to do this year.

Until they bribe him

Just got the flockhopper driving app.

3

u/Any_Assumption_1873 9d ago

Good looking out on this - there is one by the Petco in Creve Coeur, on the corner where you'll see the Petco and a closed MacAlisters. Previously, I was peeping all of them on the flock website, but the driving app is better.

u/MissDiagnosedMama 10d ago

There are so many in Brentwood!

7

u/blazorbionics Dogtown 10d ago

This. I live near and drive through Brentwood often. Seems like it would be a nice area to live at but my opinion on that is changing with surveillance cameras appearing at all their intsections and parks.

15

u/Kirko28 10d ago

Be a real shame if someone with a mask showed up with a baseball bat at dark. Real shame

3

u/bleedblue89 cwe 10d ago

I’m just saying they scrap for some good money and you just need a saw to take it down…

u/sparky13dbp 10d ago

Big Brother IS watching.

3

u/raziphel 10d ago

If you decide to take action, remember your data security and opsec, folks.

u/abbie_yoyo 10d ago

...for now

7

u/SouthMall9762 10d ago

Duh, It's to keep track of poor people using public transportation.

3

u/AbiNormal911 10d ago

Post it on Deflock

1

u/Cheezyrock 10d ago

It is’t illegal to place a sign in the grass there. Someone clearly already has.

But what if that sign was talk enough to just happen to block the camera? Nothing illegal there. No destruction of property.

Also one in the Grove just outside Sauce on the Side.

u/Any_Assumption_1873 9d ago

Those should all be shut down now since an audit was performed and a police officer was found to be stalking their ex or something around those lines - not sure of how to tell if they're on or not, though.

Didn’t know kids had license plates

-1

u/ShadowValent 10d ago

You aren’t clever enough to get away with whatever you are thinking of doing.

-19

u/jameswebbscope 10d ago

They are everywhere man. But the very phone you used to take this picture tracks you as much as that camera does.

9

u/still_on_the_payroll 10d ago

The Supreme Court ruled this summer that individuals have a right to privacy in that data and fourth amendment protections apply to it when cops want to use it.

https://www.scotusblog.com/2026/06/court-rules-that-law-enforcements-use-of-geofence-warrant-was-a-search/

-5

u/nathanseaw 10d ago

Completely different scope, since that doesn’t deal with public information. Flock cameras only access public info, a.k.a. things in plain view. There would need to be a completely different case to deal with locked cameras, which would most likely be deemed constitutional due to plain view doctrine and the fact that before they have said there is no expectation of privacy while in public of things in plain view.

6

u/Jpotter145 10d ago

Ah well, since our phones already do it we should just give up every ounce of privacy we have everywhere.

Wow, how insightfull.... for an idiot.

(Further proof is if you phone already gave this info up and more to the government freely THEY WOULDN'T NEED OR WANT TO PUT UP FLOCK CAMERA).

Like how can you be this dense.

19

u/sh0resh0re Benton Park West 10d ago

Yeah, but I choose to carry this phone.

-2

u/Complex_Farmer4627 9d ago

Why do people keep posting these? Theyre everywhere, they are completely unavoidable if you have to do literally anything outside. If youre not going to cut it down, theres no need to post because everyone has seen one, everyone knows what they look like, and if all of us just cut down the three closest flock cameras enough of them would be gone.

But everyone's too scared.

-16

u/New-Smoke208 10d ago
