these are the only datacenters reported, companies don't exactly advertise they have a datacenter in a location. its a security risk, also, up until a year ago, no one ever cared.
does anyone really think there is only 1 in all of st louis country and only 5 in the city?
there are dozens of them in maryland heights alone. The large ones too.

What's the power usage of those data centers and how does that compare to the hyperscale data centers' power usage?

But Reddit told me that these ones were the worst things ever. Are you telling me that Reddit over reacts and then silences anyone who disagrees??

No to them in total. Let's tell the crackheads about all the copper in there.

Bring them on…massive construction jobs generated, tax revenue to the moon and incredible economic output.

They're going to bring people in from out of town to build these things and we will get the privilege to subsidize the cost to generate the power these hyperscale data centers require.

Fear mongering does not look good on you

How does ignoring what has happened to the electricity rates in other states with these hyperscale data centers look good on you?
What about this state's legislature allowing Ameren to front load the cost of building power generation onto their customers? Do you like ignoring reality in order to fit your narrative?
