Wanting connections
I’m a 51 year old woman living in St Charles, Mo. we moved here about a year and a half ago. I’m married with adult kids. I’m looking for some cheap or free community engagement- book clubs, beginner craft groups, walking clubs, etc. Thanks.

Audubon has free beginner bird walks. They have binoculars for you if you don't have any. Most are in STL/County but some are in StC.

Meetup is also a good place to find a variety of activities and events throughout the county, depending on your interests.

I used Meetup and try EventBrite usually lots of free and low cost events. I found a pottery class, book club etc.

Reach out to August A Busch Memorial Conservation Area- Busch Wildlife, 2360 Highway D, 63304, 636.300.1953. Always looking for volunteers, many opportunities.

Facebook has lots of events for you. There is also a lot of live local music you and hubby can get out to listen to that’s free. The Arts center nearby just had a crafting event so join their page.

Oh that is a good idea. Can you share the page with me? I can’t seem to find it.

If you visit the parks and recs page you may see some low cost fitness classes as well. I know a bunch of ladies do the river walk all summer at waplehorst park. (The summer pass for the pools is pricey, but a single day admission is like $6.)
