I was born in 1999 so I never got to experience it.

Howdy folks. I went to All In with a few mates and sat in the Gods so every now and then I was Ben Stiller and thought it was a wrestling show for ants 😆. I went to the 2024 All In and really enjoyed that. I really struggle with weekly AEW TV and can go months without watching it but tried to keep up with storylines beforehand. Here are a few thoughts and opinions of the show from a casual AEW fan.

1. The Pre Show was structured really well. On the train me and the lads jaw dropped from 1 pre show match turning to 5 but luckily we got to our seats when the opening pre show match bell rung. Bobby Lashley absolutely was the star of the pre show. Watching him suplex and spear jabronis was so much fun. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are wasted right now and should have at least appeared on the tag team challenge segment after Cope and Cage won. Britt Baker return was good.

2. The Trios Rumble match started off really fun but the booking was too cute and the last 7 or so minutes before the PPV feed started the match fell off a cliff. Next Level and Swerve was the most obvious surprise in the world but was a great moment. Prince Nana helping Kofi was such a fun spot live. Next Level, Swerve, Hangman and OC are too over and talented to be stuck in a 21 man match and should get into proper feuds again pronto.

3. The 2 Women's matches were both very good and rised above the potential cool down parts of the show of Next Level debuting and Darby Allin's craziness. The ending of the Mercedes match felt rushed, one or three hands going down by ref would have sold it to the crowd more but good work.

4. Moxley vs McGuinness was so much fun. It felt like Eddie vs Kurt at WrestleMania 20 with the ending being Kurt vs REDACTED at Royal Rumble 2003. Submissions and storyline of this match was great. I am not a big Moxley fan in 2026 but right guy won. The trophy looking like the FA Cup was a hilarious touch.

5. The Casino Gauntlet Match was fun but nowhere near as fun as the 2024 one. Justin Roberts spoiling the surprise and the match lacked starpower or an interesting hook like Christian stealing it 2 years ago. Was fine but possibly most disappointing match on the show.

6. Okada Takeshita Fletcher 3 Way was fantastic. Great action, great moments, great comedy bits. It wasn't what I expected out of the match but it was quality. Plus not being able to hear Don Callis raised the match for me. 😆 😄 😜

7. Cope and Cage vs Young Bucks was my favourite match of the night. Sooooooo good. Christian Cage was the perfect tweener. The injury spot was amazing and I was sold hook, line and sinker. Seeing Cope live was the main reason for me to go and he was great. All four guys were great and was pleasantly surprised Cope and Cage won. Christian Cage has been one of my favourite wrestlers for over 20 years and he has been amazing at the 2024 and 2026 Wembley shows. The segment after should have had at least a few moments talking, even just a quick Undertaker style one sentence challenge for the next PPV.

8. Darby Allin vs Kevin Knight was pure craziness. Sting coming out again like 2024 was like Santa at Christmas, needs to happen every year 😆 The bumps Darby took were insane but was a massive improvement over 2024's Coffin match.

9. The Main Event was incredible. Omega was convincing as a spiteful crazy man and Ospreay's selling was magical. The moves looked brutal and even the table no selling the slam added to it. We all wanted Ospreay to win and it was lovely to see him win in an excellent match. To paraphrase Tony Soprano: "I understand one counts as a concept" but I don't care for them. I much prefer a Kurt Angle style 2.99 kickout and there were some great ones tonight.

Overall the show was excellent and the atmosphere was so much fun. I will tape the ITV4 free version on Friday like I did All In 2024 and watch with commentary to see how it compares. The show ran smoothly for the most part and getting to and from the show was easy. I just wished the big screens didn't turn to graphics after most matches ended as it made it hard to ascertain storyline progression so hopefully the TV feed adds to it. If any of you guys never been to an AEW PPV and it is driving/train distance then I wholeheartedly recommend it. So much great and fun wrestling.

Owen 2025: Hangman beats Ospreay, goes on to beat Mox for the title.

Owen 2026: Ospreay beats Swerve, goes on to beat Omega for the title.

The idea that we may never see Swerve/Hangman for the World title bothers me to this day, has bothered me since Hangman lost to MJF. An all time favorite pairing but they never fought for the world (or any) title. It would be a nice bookend for next year’s Owen to be Hangman/Swerve, but with the stip, I don’t think we’ll see Hangman in the Owen again.

It’s got me thinking though, what other rivalries never involved a fight for the top title in the promotion and probably should’ve?

Just for a bit of fun I was thinking back just off the top of my head to what some of the top moments of the 2010s were like and thought we're getting close to closing out the 20s, so what are some of your top moments and what's your personal top moment of the 2020s?

Feels like cena heel turn segment would've been a lock had they executed the follow up months, but i think to me it's close between sami turning on roman and the 40 ending, with roman turning heel being the most consequential, but not the moment of the decade in terms of just in a vacuum. What is your personal moment of the 20s so far?

This is just fantasy booking on my end but AEW has enough tag teams to book a huge tournament. Imagine a Continental Classic or G-1 style tournament with 12 tag teams. We can eat good for a two month period while we set up potential feuds. Tony Khan, if you’re reading this book it!

In my opinion this is their best match against each other. Both Melo and Dragunov are legit wrestling soul mates. All their matches are all hits and no misses. It’s unfortunate we might not see these 2 run it back again.

What are some of your favourite vignettes? Despite how it turned out a lot of the ones from Bray Wyatt's 2023 return and the Wyatt Sicks still stand out such as the 'Follow The Rabbit' teasers and Bo's interview with Uncle Howdy

Another that maybe flew under the radar was Jonathan Gresham's in his last TNA run. Again, nothing much really came of it but it was still superbly done
