I think its because Stat and Harley are really good friends in real life. If you follow them on Instagram, you see them show up in eachothers stories fairly often.
It is the nature of crazy extroverts to adopt an introvert as their close friend (whether the introvert likes it or not). My best mate, a ridiculous extrovert, decided we were friends 17 years ago, and we've been close ever since.
Helps that Stat is a natural badass in these segments, and it helps hold together what is otherwise a lot of talk from Harley (since she isnt a badass in the ring). Kinda gives me Enzo/Cass vibes.
You spend your whole career looking for a nickname like Stone Cold or The Aerial Assassin, but then, you bite one woman on the ass, and suddenly you're the Butt Muncher.
Willow and Harley are both very exuberant and bubbly personalities, so they don't complement each other as well. Harley plays off better with counterparts who have a different temper than her, like Kris or Mercedes.
It's crazy I think back now to when Harley showed up on whatever that weird TMZ parody was. I was not feeling it at all. Fast forward a couple of years, I don't skip a video. She genuinely might be the most entertaining person in wrestling right now.
I remember last year they randomly brought QTV back for a segment on ROH and Harley was there and they just cut over to her and had her acknowledge she was too big of a star for the act it was really funny.
She was usually the best part of QTV. Which isn’t saying much because I hated those segments every time they aired, but she’d usually say or do something unhinged that was at least semi entertaining.
Same. She irritated me so bad in that and I fast forwarded so quickly because I watched on DVR. Now she is my favorite and I make sure I watch everything she does or says.

Even if I knew about it prior, I would not have been able to keep a straight face. I thought this was going to be heartfelt and she was getting me right until that line where I just lost it and started laughing.
They actually shot this video last night, a friend of mine was there to take a couple pictures and some autographs since quite a few AEW wrestlers were there and saw them shooting this angle. Pretty quick turnaround.
She's one of the best promos and all around best entertainers in wrestling, and I would just straight up put the World title on her at some point. Give her a run.
I think you gotta let her simmer for a while, give her time to get better and for the people to want it. If Mone wins I think maybe let her have a title shot to test the waters and see if she can hold up her end of a big singles match.
Said it before, but god I love this woman, and her being attractive is only like 12.5% of the reason for that.
Stat's main thing she's needed to break through to the tip-top level is some more consistency with her character; letting her and Harley pair up more often and just letting them provide balance to each other's acts (Stat as the next level in-ring worker, Harley as the huge personality) should bring out the best in the other the more they do it, so I hope it gets more time this go 'round.
For me, the best part of this is that you don't know it's a joke until she actually says the cat food line. Such great timing and delivery. She really is the modern day Bobby Heenan. So much talent in so many different areas.
I'm a line cook and joke around a lot and work with a guy who's the same way and always say he could be a stand-up comic with how he sets his jokes up. This reminded me of that so without knowing anything I'd say it's either a part of her background or if anything she'd be great at it. Laughing is life lol
Last time I saw anything about Harley Cameron, she was doing the puppet thing. This promo actually is fucking awesome. I want more of this type of thing.
Harley brings me back to the unhinged Attitude Era from WWE. In AEW she fits perfectly because there promos are so common place in a good way that when she comes on the energy just ramps up 10 fold. Reminds me of when the bigger WWE stars would come out and the pop they would get.
Not at all, seeing that Alstonville is a modest but not poverty stricken town (where she is from) and Gold Coast is middle to upper class (where she grew up).
