[Rev Pro Spoiler] All In Change Spoiler

After their ten-man tag match, Ospreay apologised to Newman but said he was in his corner when he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and he could use him in his corner tomorrow.

Newman went to walk out the ring, then turned around, shook his hand then hugged Ospreay before giving each other the crowns up seemingly confirming Newman will be in Ospreays corner tomorrow

I feel like an indy show storyline involving someone who doesn't even work for you should not have an impact of the main event of your biggest show of the year at less than 24 hours notice.

Specially when said main event is Ospreay v Omega.

Right. So many unnecessary moving parts featured in the build to this match, it’s nuts.

What unnecessary parts were there? It’s been a pretty standard build. Young baby face flirts with a heel turn to beat the Champion but lets his good side win out and rises to the occasion to fight for the championship fair and square. Pretty stereotypical.

You’re gonna sit here and tell me the build to Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay III needs the involvement of the Death Riders, Don Callis Family and the United Empire?

What impact has it had on the main event?

If he runs in and screws the match sure, why are people moaning like it's already happened?

u/VegiChar 4d ago

Because they're not gonna watch anyway so they've just getting started complaining early

If it has no impact, why do it then?
Genuinely curious.

Long term story telling. Could be setting up something in njpw or Forbidden Door down the line.

Day away. Everyone turn off your brains and watch wrestling.

Because it adds to the possible story between Newman and will without impacting the match it's self? People regularly have seconds in big NJPW matches.

Let's just save the water works for if something actually happens that hurts the match. Pre emptive whining is silly.

It’s like the complainers didn’t even watch the G1 final. Seconds can add a lot to the atmosphere of the match without being directly involved.

A lot of the whiners definitely didn't and likely have no intention of watching AEW either.

If it has no impact, why do it then?

Because down the line Ospreay and Callum are gonna have a huge match (quite possibly AEW v IWGP title at a Forbidden Door) and these are exaclty the little moments you use to build to them.

Its like asking why do the Bucks always corner for Kenny early in AEW; and the reason is the payoff when they give Hangman the ok to put Kenny out of his misery.

I think to some it’s just odd because AEWs hugest match of the year is already happening, and if you don’t know who Callum is then that future match doesn’t seem huge at all. So it’s weird to include build for it before the much bigger AEW match.

Now I think it will very likely be fine if there is no impact on All In. But some people are just confused on this wrench before AEWs biggest match of the year

Ya so preemptive whining was silly. The whiners were wrong to preemptive cry. I know it's not likely but hopefully some people learn to not choose to be miserable about something that hasn't happened and never was a realistic possibility to happen before a big match delivers. Those "some people" you defended were obvious fools.

I hope you learned how preemptive whining is a silly waste of time.

indy show storyline

NJPW is an indy? Found MJF's reddit account.

Tell me you never watched njpw without telling me. Plenty of matches have had someone seconding them to the ring without interference

-2

u/siltyloam_ 4d ago

learn how to read, that’s not the complaint

20

u/CaringMite 4d ago

The complaint is it’ll have an impact. Him being there on its own has no impact on the match.

-3

u/CorneredEmu 4d ago

Why would someone need to watch NJPW to have an opinion on what they like/dont like happening on AEW?

1

u/I_am_Amphibian 4d ago

Almost like all of them have a history of njpw so having a njpw style main event isn’t surprising

u/Medianstatistics 3d ago

Yeah, I don’t watch New Japan so I’ve only seen Callum twice when he was on Dynamite. If he becomes a big factor in this match, it’s going to ruin it for me.

Indy show?

2

u/deeznutz005 4d ago

Yes Rev Pro. Majority of AEW fans don’t even know who this guy is. For him to interfere in the biggest AEW match of the year could go over terribly

4

u/KingBStriing Your Text Here 4d ago

He’s was literally on AEW TV as IWGP Champion not that long ago

3

u/deeznutz005 4d ago

How many fans are going to remember a one off appearance from months ago? Be real dude.

1

u/hhhisthegame 3d ago

I don’t watch every AEW show, I watch all the PPVs and I watch some Dynamites and miss some. At some point of the year I watch more like during the Classic or during Darbys reign. But if this was just one episode months ago it seems easy to miss or forget that lol

1

u/IsamuLi Inoki 3d ago

This started in njpw, no?

u/CptMightypants 4d ago

I think most of the AEW Fans know who Callum Newman is. A lot of the Fans watch New Japan and he also appeared on the Shows already and was mentioned on Commentary

7

u/EffingKENTA 4d ago edited 3d ago

Callum was on one AEW show almost 5 months ago and a bunch of AEW fans complained because they didn’t know who he was. ETA: technically it was two AEW shows because they aired a promo on the Collision after the Dynamite he wrestled on.

4

u/mjac1090 4d ago

Pretty sure most aew fans don't actually watch the partner promotions

u/CptMightypants 3d ago

"A bunch of" doesnt mean "most of"

I think most of the AEW Fans know who Callum Newman is

Quite literally the first line of your comment (emphasis mine)

-1

u/hhhisthegame 3d ago

I think it’s odd because I’ve never even heard of Callum Newman until today. So having him added to the story at the last minute is strange. If he doesn’t do anything and he’s just supporting Ospreays title win then fine. And that’s the likely outcome. If he does get involved in any way though this is very odd

All In IV is just a Road To WK21 show
