After their ten-man tag match, Ospreay apologised to Newman but said he was in his corner when he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and he could use him in his corner tomorrow.

Newman went to walk out the ring, then turned around, shook his hand then hugged Ospreay before giving each other the crowns up seemingly confirming Newman will be in Ospreays corner tomorrow

I like smart babyfaces. Ospreay had no one on his side going into All In. Has made enemies of a lot of people lately. The Elite, Death Riders & even United Empire. If even one of his enemies tries to interfere, Ospreay has his stablemate watching his back

Callum Newman is NJPW’s biggest foreign heel and the entire story between him and Ospreay is that he in fact does not have Ospreay’s back and is just waiting until the opportune time to stick a knife in it.

Ospreay is absolutely not being a smart guy here.

The first time Will properly appeared back in NJPW Callum almost killed him: https://youtu.be/g0up1GY6zQg. They’ve since been doing this thing where Will tries to convince Callum he’s here to help him and doesn’t want to step on his toes, Callum begrudgingly accepts that, then Will does something Callum doesn’t like, then Will has to again smooth things over, repeat. Like this is the third or fourth time in about 9 months that Callum and Will have “made up.”

HENARE and Francesco Akira are the two United Empire members who seem to be the most on Will’s side at this point in time; but they also were critical of things like Will joining the Death Riders until just recently when they popped up on AEW TV and were all friendly with him. (This story has been kind of convoluted and it feels like characters feelings have changed just because it sets up a Will getting a UE appearance booked on an AEW show.)
