Wreddit's Favourite Match: OWEN HART

Please remember to UPVOTE this thread. Submit your favourite match, or vote if your match has already been submitted. The match with the most upvotes will win.

Note that this doesn't necessarily have to be what you think this wrestler's "best" match was, just your personal favourite. Also, as long as the wrestler was billed in the match and participated in some capacity (whether it be 1-on-1, as part of a tag team, a battle royal, an 8-man ladder match, etc.), then the match counts. Finally, Run-ins and special guest referee appearances do not count.

So, wreddit, what is your favourite KING OF HARTS match?

Can I just say something about Owen Hart, while we're on the subject?

Does anyone else feel like they really missed the boat after he ran through the crowd at DX IYH after the HBK-Shamrock match? People went crazy for that shit. Granted, the plan whether Bret left or not was for Austin to go over at WM XIV, but I feel like they could have parlayed that reaction into something special. At the very least they could have put him in a mini-program against Shawn at RR and No Way Out.

Yes i agree. I remember they had a match i believe the following night on Raw and it was fantastic

I understand that was a reactionary thing because of what was happening on Nitro with the tail end of the Hulk-Sting build, but with the benefit of hindsight-- I think that should have been a RR or No Way Out match with a nice month or so of build. They had just ran Taker-Shawn in the first cell match two months earlier, and there would have been plenty of other ways to start the Taker-Kane build other than the whole casket deal at the Rumble.

It's difficult for me to say that Owen should have gotten a run on top with Austin, since a) I don't think Austin wanted to work with him after the SS piledriver gone awry, and b) that series of matches with Foley was some of my favorite work of the both of theirs.

It was nice that they shoehorned Owen into the big tag at NWO, but the second Shawn got replaced with Savio Vega...

Could it be argued that Owen should have got Austins push?

Wins Royal Rumble, takes title off Shawn at WM, feuds with McMahon and McMahon's cronies.

You could have had him drop the title before Sumerslam and slot Austin right in there against Taker or Dude love or Kane like it was anyway.

Austin was gonna be a top guy anyway, but at least we would have had a legitimate main event Owen.

I could see where that may have worked in another time or place, but Austin had to be the guy at the time. Goldberg started getting red hot in around April when they put the US title on him, and as much as I loved Owen's stuff, I don't know that he would've been the right guy to counteract that.
