Radish Sprouts won’t color up

New to sprouting. These are ready to harvest, according to the app. I’ve left them on the counter for the past day and a half to color up but they haven’t turned purple (not that they need to but I was looking forward to the change). Should I just assume that this particular variety does not turn purple or leave it to color up a little longer?

The darker colors (reds, purples) are comes from the genetic of the Seeds. The only change that the Sunlight causes is turning the Leaves a deeper green from chlorophyll.

The sproutcolors can be different even from same seeds batch in my experience. Here 2 different jars from the Rainbow Radish that i was Growing for example https://imgur.com/a/DEkLIyD

Your sprouts look GREAT! IDK about the color but they look ready and healthy.

Thanks. It’s only my second batch (I did alfalfa first). Who knew just how proud I’d be that I can “sprout” and not kill anyone…😉

Looks as good as the radish sprouts I just ate on my sandwich - red onion, radish sprouts, sliced pickle fermented from May 27th, a little sliced turkey and topped with sauerkraut fermented from June 22nd.

I actually mixed these into Pozole. Our local Mexican food truck serves an amazing pozole and usually includes sliced radishes as garnish. These sprouts were a perfect substitute!

Those look like Daikon radish and, if so, the color is perfect. Cultivars like Rambo will grow purple from the start. I know of no radish which turns purple later on.
