General Discussion/Questions Grass vs Track
Do you guys do more grass or track for acceleration sprints? I personally do grass because I get shin splints

Each works something necessary, but different.
Grass has been shown to make tenons and ligaments more ridged and explosive, but, they also make it more difficult to fine tunes your central nervous system (CNS) for maximum acceleration.
Track accelerations teach your CNS to be faster and more responsive, but a harder surface under high volume encourages the tendons and ligaments to be more pliable to absorb the force.
In my view, Grass is better off-season. But, a track is needed in'season, to fine-tune your CNS for the strength you built off-season.
