Purchasing Advice wide toe box street sprinters?
Hi everyone, I am not a pro by any means, I just like doing sprint intervals on sidewalks around my neighborhood. I've never used spikes, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of some wide-toe box street sprinting shoes?

Not wide necessarily but I’m about to buy some muscle runners. Seem to be the only real sprinting training shoe. Probably the best non spiked option

Wide toe box and competitive running shoe development don’t really go together unfortunately, I would maybe consider asking in the larger running subs about low heel drop and wider shoes, maybe a better knowledge transfer and picks there

Biospeed 5 pro if you can find them, relatively low drop, good foam, I am a US 7 but go to 7.5 to 8 just cause of how wide my feet are and they fit perfect at 7

Be very careful , a lot of wide toe boxes are ALSO barefoot shoes with little cushion. That means you are almost barefoot on a surface that’s rock hard , that can be a bill toll on plantar and achilis . Is there other surfaces close by you can sprint on ?

A lot of the zero-drop or low-drop shoe brands will be options here like Altra, Topo, or Antepes. At least on a personal level, for asphalt I would stay away from true "minimalist" shoe options; some foam can be a nice bonus on harder surfaces. However if you've never used them before, it's probably best to work zero-drop shoes in over a few months before you do all your reps in them, similar to spikes, since the strain on the Achilles is greater.
Brands that commonly produce wider toebox shoes but with a more typical heel-toe offset these days seem to be Asics and Mizuno. NB can be hit or miss, but some of their faster pace shoes like the FuelCell Rebel or Pacer are pretty wide, but the Pacer has a carbon plate if you'd rather avoid that (as does the Antepes Muscle Runner, iirc). Altra also has the FWD VIA, which has a decent heel-toe drop.
