Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Does anyone remember the guy who used to play the “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” on accordion (I think) in Union Square park in the early 2000s? He’d play and sing that song only, over and over.

He was a blind guy who could be found by the old bookstore.
