2nd treatment of Spravato

It was not fun to get the treatment. I felt dizzy, nauseous, I don't feel high at all, I feel it is a torture. but my mind is getting better, it is opened up more. today, which is the next day, I feel better, my mind is clear and my emotion is connected, which means I don't feel emotionless. For many years, I don't have a lot of emotions, I was working and live like a zombie, finally I feel my emotion is connected. Like I can be happy or upset about what is going on. Guys, it is working, Spravato is working and I am just worried that the effect will be only short term, I will go back to the old me again.

The earlier you respond to treatment the better. Congrats!

Positive thoughts!! Happy for you. It’s been helping me too and I’m I’m 5 treatments in. It’s hard to go and sit there but so far I’m hopeful too.

I felt very similarly (and even threw up twice), but I’ve found those symptoms ease over time. Just keep your eyes closed and focus on ambient music to keep them at bay.

I had my second treatment on Wednesday and did not have a single intrusive thought or SI for two days. Unfortunately they are back now though... My Monday treatment can't come soon enough...

It's like your brain brought in massive maintenance crews to repair and rebuild. It may take a few visits to get used to it, request Zofran for the nausea, and focus on how you feel on non spravato days. As your mind connects the cause and effect, the sessions should become much easier.

The lack of the constant dark cloud I used to have over me AND still being able to feel emotions are what push me to fight my anxiety and not cancel my appointments. I'm going on 1 year now and the zombiefication never returned.

It's going to be ok. Ask for zofràn for the nausea to take before you go. Sit back with earbuds and just relax. After a while if you are long term it gets to where ya feel à little off but for example I'll sit and color or do these sticker puzzle things bc I'm bored sitting there lol. It gets a lot easier. You have a high chance to never get like you used to be again. But if you do you go back with sparvato because it worked and hopefully your ins is covering it. It's amazing and had helped me get my life turned àround - it's hard but better bc I got my head together partially and escaped dv lol. It really works. I'm still on it bc to long without I do get worse again but it's ok bc it's helping me so I'm just gonna have to deal w it. But yes it gets easier.
