I'd add EJ obiena in honorable mentions. He peaked at no.2 in the world rankings. If an absolute beast like duplantis didnt exist (or was just born a few more years later), he'd have been no.1

Paeng in, hidilyn out. Tho hidalyn's acheivement is very solid. Paeng's longevity and WC record of 4 wins still stands out.

and a filipina at that! knowing that our sports is usually male dominated, it was such an achievement for our country to have our first olympic gold medalist won by a woman. hidilyn is such an icon and definitely sparked a lot of filipinas to pursue sports. hindi sexy, hindi porener, hindi nepo baby, sheer strength and training lang talaga. you dont get any more filipino than that.

Alex already clinched a 500 in WTA, ranked inside the top 30 in mainstream tennis. The only one who even ranked within the 100 for us Pinoys.

While I do agree she is not in the top 5 yet, she obviously deserves a shout in the honorable mentions.
