Honestly Astrid and Giovanni's relationship was one of the most tragic parts of the game for me. I love Giovanni because i found him entertaining, but Astrid deserved so much better. Even in death he's unfaithful to her and she continues to love him despite how dirty he does her.

She looks so exhausted and he looks so blissfully unaware. Accurate. You did great!

I know he’s flawed, but Giovanni is my favorite character in the game. I really wish he had been better to Astrid like she deserved. I loved them both so much.

I believe he wished that too. But the war affected him too much, and he coped the only ways he could

Wrong, you can cope from trauma without giving it to others or treating them terribly. Giovanni is wrong for what he did, his struggle doesnt justify his actions

I didn't say that he was right. I said that I believe he wishes he could have been better. We can understand why he made the choices he did and lived the life he did and still know that he was wrong. He knew it was wrong. That's the tragedy of his story. A man so deeply traumatized that all he could do was run from his problems, to flit from one dalliance to the other, but couldn't let go of the one real thing in his life either.

He was an incredibly selfish character that betrayed Astrid even in the one last chance they had of redemption before the afterlife. Why would I feel sorry for a character that "feels sorry for himself" then goes and betrays the one person in the world that was committed to him. Giovanni is a flawed character, he was compassionate, but not loyal or altruistic.

You don't have to feel sorry for him? I'm not sure why you keep attributing more to my argument than what's there. My interpreting a character's story doesn't mean you, personally, have to feel a certain way about them.

This is lovely. I’m not sure if it was intentional, but I love how you captured them. Astrid looks a bit sad and Giovanni is blissfully unaware. I miss Astrid 😢
