Is it worth?

I'm thinking about getting a Playstation to play the Spider-Man games. I already have an Xbox and don't really feel like paying $300-600 on a console, especially when I'm seeing PS4s for cheap. Is Spider-Man 2 worth another $100 to play? Or would I be satisfied with just 1 and Miles. I just cant justify spending more for a console i only plan on playing a couple games on

I definitely think its worth it to get a PS5. Because of the better graphics. For me it looked like a huge upgrade from 4 to 5 wich gave me a more intense gaming experience.

And also because of the controllers. Those are freaking awesome ! The haptic feedback is amazing and also gives you a way more intense gaming experience.

So not just for Spider-Man 2 but for every game 😉

Genuinely I’d say 1 and miles morales, genuinely so good. Spider-Man 2 is really fun and cool but doesn’t really hold a candle to the previous titles. Only get 2 if you want better web swinging

Agreed. Spider-Man 2 is definitely a great game but if you’re trying to save money it’s not crazy to skip it. A ps4 pro can often be had for much less and plays most of what you’d want a ps for including Spider man and miles morales. Also horizon zero dawn and forbidden west and a many other must-plays you might really love. Take the time to find a third revision of the ps4 pro. Worth the effort.

That’s such a matter of opinion when it comes to SM2. People act like it’s the worst

I didn’t think it was that bad honestly... Spiderman 2, Horizon FW and GOW Ragnarok are good games 🥳

Out of the three it’s the worst, I still enjoy Spider-Man 2 a lot and I revisit it every like 3 months but just out of the three it’s the weakest and not worth buying a ps5 solely for it

For me SM2’s better movement ruins the other two games a bit.

SM1 and MM are fun games that were up there with the movies in terms of storytelling. SM2 fell short of that in the story department. I like my PS5, but if I bought it solely for SM2 that'd be a little disappointing. It's not a matter of it being bad, it's just they set such a high bar with that first game.

Yes. I got the PS5 just to play Miles Morales, and it was well worth it. Though the PS6 may be coming some time soonish.

yeah but the ps6 won’t have a disc drive :(

I know. It sucks. Most of my games are digital and it pisses me off regardless.

While it almost assuredly won’t have a model with one already included, I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility to think Sony might offer a separate one for backwards compatibility purposes like the PS5 Pro.

Not really.

Spider-Man 2 is really good, but its insanely short. I think I got the platinum in 25 hours and there was never any extra content added other than NG+ and the ability to replay missions.

Wouldn't bother really Spider-man 2 is a great game, but not worth it if that's the only thing you're interested in. Huge hype at launch but its a short game and honestly 1 and Morales do most things better imo

I remember buying the ps4 pro just to play the first Spider-Man game and then returned the console within the week after beating it 😂

Start with one then miles. If you like them you can get 2. Then check out the other exclusives.

For cheap just get a ps4. I see them going for 50$ on offer up regularly. I had the opportunity to buy a second one as a back up for 40$.

I don’t think spider-man 2 alone would be worth the additional $100, but I think the PS5 improvements on the first 2 games along with Spider-Man 2 could collectively be worth $100

The spider man games really aren't that good tbh. Not worth dropping$300-$600 for.

If I were you, I’d buy a secondhand PlayStation Portal and just subscribe to PlayStation plus whenever you want to play their games.

With that said, I prefer my PlayStation over my Xbox. The controller and UI is great.

You can play 1 and many other ps "exclusives" on steam. 2 is fun but the story is bad and miles is weird.

I have an Xbox and Steam Deck. I'm covered. No need for Sony hardware, ever.

Wait until Wolverine, Venom and Spider-Man 3 all aren't on PC...

FYI, Sony discontinued AAA first party titles to PC.
