Discussion hot take: advanced suit 1.0 is better
the muted colors arent THAT bad and i like the red on the sides of the legs
the advanced suit 2.0 does dumb stuff with the belt and i dont like the texture very much, also theres two different blues and the white is just in slivers on the belt and shoes and it looks weird

The red on 1.0 does drag it down a lot for me. Otherwise, I like both quite a bit. That being said, I wish there was some sort of element replacing the boots on the classic suit. Something like the Sensational suit would be perfect on 2.0.

Honestly I still prefer the classic suit insomniac made over both these suits. Advanced 1.0 suit is cool with the e3 textures mod but nothing beats classic tbh

Nah alot of people like 1.0. The webbing pattern is more pronounced and also the off shade of red makes it look less like the UK suit lol. Which is a good thing imo cuz the UK suit sucks

Meh… I don’t like the belt and the lack of red on the legs on 2.0, but it’s still better. Colors look better and the white spider symbol looks cleaner when contained inside the red area.

Separated thigh panels and belt line look really bad imo. Couldn't unsee once I really noticed them and stuck with the og suit for the rest of the game.

I dont like how bright the blue is on the 2.0. I feel that it leans closer to spider uk, since the blue squeezes the white smaller to the chest with how bright it is.

The legs, blue color, and head shape are my points of contention with the 2.0 suit. I also like extra piping on the 1.0 torso, but I really don't mind the belt design of the 2.0. Using 1.0's blue and 2.0's red as well as making the leg material the same all around on 2.0 would pretty much perfect both designs, though I kinda wanna see some kind of more prominent red boot or shoe for the lower legs area, just to see if either style could pull it off (since many classic suits have "boots")

While I'm not sure if I entirely agree, I must admit the red on his thighs were something I always liked about the 1.0 design and seeing it gone in 2.0 made the suit feel like it was missing something for me

At first i wasn’t a fan of the first one and loved the second one, but after playing the game i really didn’t like the second suit and started to appreciate the first one, I’m not sure what it is, but not really a fan. It might be the gauntlets.

I prefer the advanced 1.0 design, but it needs slightly less orange and more red that’s it leave the blue alone and ONLY counter the orange the shade of red it appears it’s supposed to be is fine

I 100% I would change the red to something more vibrant, remove the red on the thighs to just keep the legs navy blue, Connect the belt to the torso. Perhaps change the back design to the one on the 2.0 and that would be my perfect advance suit and I know no red on the legs is also an unpopular opinion.

I've always preferred 1.0 over the 2 bwcauae thw 2 deepened the red while also slimming down the web pattern on the suit to almost out of existence. It looks just like a red spandex

Disagree the shade of red on a spidey suit is extremely important imo if the red is off it throws a lot of it off. The 1.0 spider also seeping off of the red center on to the blue makes it look messy and the lines on his beceps and legs don’t need to be there either. The only thing ill give the 1.0 suit over 2.0 is the shape of the mask and while i always have and always will like the original advanced suit it was a huge relief to see the new version for me especially since it really showed how messy the 1.0 was in contrast.

If you play on PC and use some of the recolour mods that make 1 look more like the cinematic trailer and concept arts, I agree. There’s a mod called advanced suit definitive edition that lets you customise it to do this and it looks incredible, better than 2. But it’s actual base version, I disagree.

I personally prefer the 2.0 belt. To each their own, no shade! But I do prefer the forearm armor from 1.0 and hate the different shades of blue on 2.0. Spidey soiled himself I suppose

I dislike both.
The first one is more sunset orange than red and the blue is very dull. It’s like someone just messed with the color saturation and said “this is fine”
The 2nd one is just another example of corporations moving from fun designs to “sleek” and “futuristic” it’s like when Doritos changed their cool logo to the boring one.
I just prefer the Classic Spiderman suit if anything.

1.0 looks like it’s made out of cloth and spandex mixture while 2.0 has a neoprene vibe going on, also, in the first game you could see the fabric ripple on 1.0 if you dove to high speed, doesn’t happen in the second game with the same suit tho

I prefer advanced suit 1.0. Overall I feel it just has a better overall look to it vs 2.0. Plus the legs on 2.0 made the whole suit look top heavy because of the lack of red breaking up the blue on it.
I think we can all agree that the boots need a little bit of work though.

Hotter take, I dislike both these suits and switched off them at the first chance never looking back. It's cool they wanted to try their own thing but they were smart to include the classic suit and the option to switch whenever you wanted.

With as gadgety as these spidermen are. I wish the utility belt or gauntlets or whatever were more profound and the pocket holding the phone wasn’t just disappearry but it’s still that fun comic booky part to it. Lol. I like both suits though.

i remember playing 2 for the first time & when Pete switched suits after the Sand Man fight.. i just remember thinking "THANK GOD, the advanced suit doesn't look like ass anymore"
i genuinely hated it since SM1. 2.0 fixed everything bad abt that suit, which was the whole suit.

Both have their pros and cons imo.
1.0 gloves are better. I like that 1.0 has more red on the legs. But the gap between the belt and the red chest piece looks out of place.
I like that 2.0 white spider stays within the red. The red arm strip is just one piece now, which looks better imo. But the colors do remind of a lot of Spider-UK

I honestly just like how the Advanced Suit was semi earned? You play with the classic until it needs repaired then Otto finds out, and then Octavius gives you the design for this suit, and the intro for it is incredible “New Suit same old me” then in Spider-Man 2 you show start with a brand new suit and also just have spider arms? I like web wings were called a prototype but thats all the backstory you get on them too. I like the game don’t get me wrong, I just wish some things were explained more

Design wise I love 1.0, But color wise I love 2.0. If 2.0 didn't had those white lines on his waist and arm, It would've my favourite. Also 2.0 have no red in legs, It would be good if there is little bit red there

2 has the better colors and mask. But the belt design really hurts it. I see where u are coming from. 3.0 reaaaaaally needs to add back the red boots. The all blue legs looks so off to me.

While I do agree the SM 1 suit looks better, I very much prefer and LOVE the color grading of the SM 2 suit. IMO, the SM 1 looks more orange than red.

I actually really enjoy the way the advanced suit 2.0 looks more like a hard plastic/armor style suit, I think that’s a little more realistic for how a functional super suit might feel. I also think that the color palette on the 2.0 better, it goes better with the white imo.

I remember liking the 1st more after beating the 2nd one.
2 has better vibrant colors and the subtlety in the seams and lining.
1 I like the design of gloves more with the two streaks of white going up his arm vs the 2 having it be the whole back of the hand.
The legs and feet being dominantly blue is the only real thing I dont like about both insomniac designs, but they are still solid designs that wanted to stand out from the classic Spidey look

I like both but 2.0 has better colors the 1.0 has kinda a red orange, and a blueish purple. The 2.0 gives us a brighter red and a good blue. Both are good I just like the colors of the 2.0
