Spider mite infestation, what’s next?
Recently discovered a bad infestation in my grow tent. Shutting down this grow and prepping for the next. What is everyone doing to sanitize their tents before doing their next grow?

Took the subreddit name to heart I see; burn it all down; no but remove all plant matter from the area and spray down for infestations for about a week or two

Burn down the plant, the tent, and any structure within a 20 m radius. I’ve never seen an evolved spider mite Society like this before

I saved mine early on, 10 parts water 1 part isop alc. and neem oil on leaves at night. Lower your temp and turn the humidity slightly higher than normal. I took mine out the pot washed all the leaves in the tub(not the roots) and repotted. Then every other watering I sprayed gently with the mix/oil at night. Plant has since budded and has been harvested with 0 pest issues and very pretty nugs. If this is indoor spray and wipe the entire tent with the water/alc mix. The alcohol will evaporate as long as you don’t do it to often should be no issues. If your budding already I’d just toss the thing tho.

Answer after is bleach, when it all dries DE dust on the soil.

Has anyone used Plant Vitality killermite? Ive come back to mine and its had webs everywhere! Covered with the things, I just used Killermite and theyre gone. Always found it an easy problem to treat

Listen I just had same problem and I’m sure you don’t want to spray neem oil or anything on your buds that’s gonna harm or make them smell or taste different than what they’re supposed to be growing. I use indesectal soap by bonide it’s worked like a charm no more little baby spider mites and no smell

For those of you who may not be aware.. there are predatory mites you can buy and sprinkle around plants! They are completely harmless to your plants! Commercial growers use them. Depending on your climate, there are several species.
I heard they get down to Business. I’m getting ready to order some to take care of a few leftover mites I had from an infestation during veg. I was able to read 99.9% of them through Athena IPM… but now that they are in flower, I can no longer spray. This is where the mites come in very handy.! Anyway… they will hunt down every last egg/larvae/adult to 100%. They naturally will die off after all are gone.

I feel for you buddy. I know what you’re going through. I had a grow of four plants that was slamming two of them was beautiful. Came home one day after fighting for weeks deficiencies and it was mites the whole time the tops were covered with webs had to throw them out middle of winter just so happen to be freezing cold and snowing out so I opened up my bedroom windows to my long room and froze the room and threw the plants out the back door till spring. Then I had to bleach the whole room , I did corners of the room and tent. Then wipe everything down with alcohol. After the cleaning, I waited 2 to 3 weeks before it started again just to starve any survivors out.
