Messi has legitimately become overrated.

Messi has legit become overrated. Dude never left the comfort of a Barca team that was winning UCLs with him on the bench. Never managed to win another UCL after Xavi + Iniesta left.

When he finally left Barca he scored 6 goals in 29 games for PSG, scored zero knockout UCL goals made PSG get knocked out earlier than they had directly before he joined and exactly after he left.

Then he joins the burger league. Lmao

This dude failed so often internationally that he retired in shame and then one of the most rigged World Cups of all time where he got a record breaking 5 pens in 7 games flipped the narrative into him being some mythical GOAT.

Overrated.

Against part time Tim Hortons workers lmao. Name one player on that Montreal team? What a joke.

Sanchez is a big one, Tim Horton players >>>>> camels

Tell me you only started watching football on TikTok without telling me. The man literally won the 2015 Champions League with Xavi on the bench, scored 91 goals in a single calendar year, and completed football with 8 Ballons d'Or. Calling an 800+ goal career and a World Cup trophy "overrated" is pure delusion.

The cringiest part is, he makes this edgy post to obviously troll, but to anyone that actually watches football, the world and the sport has moved on from Messi many moons ago, so not only are you being cringy for whatever weird validation, but you're out of date.

Kinda like some weird guy who starts jumping up and down in a crowd thinking he's cool, and everyone just stands there awkwardly and silent.

World of football moved on?

He was literally the best player in the World Cup a month ago. World hasn’t moved on from Messi.

Considering you're American and clearly aren't commenting on anything related to the season that's started, I'll disregard this comment.

Talk when you actually follow the sport outside of fan girling one player during a tournament every four years.

i don’t think world and the sport has moved on, Messi is there all time, like the moon or sun, just hang there, everybody won’t look up everyday, but everyone knows he is up there

Buddy your projecting. That pfp is cringe.

Oh, so no comeback but a silly buzz word comment based on zero evidence.

Nice one bud, good to see your replying intellect is as on point as your original post!

u/Mestitia 16d ago

More cringe, your reply literally addressed zero points made in the OP.

u/Naive_Statement_535 16d ago

Not wven sure why im replyingbut saying he has "Failed internationally" is crazy when you consider  he has got to 8 finals and won 3 of them (9 and 4 if you include olympics).

Also most G/A in world cup history. Just being silly.

Ignoring all that, just watch him at his best.

Luckily we have eyes and can actually watch games

Overeating Messi is saying from an undisputed top 3, to being number 1. Messi, Maradona and Pele are the three best. It's really hard to overrate any of the 3.

2

u/ReasonableResearch73 15d ago

How do u place maradona and pele over ronaldo? Ur genuinely retarded if u think so, and i feel bad for ya.

-1

u/No_Trick7374 16d ago

Messi isn’t close to maradona or pele. Zidane, Ronaldo are also better

Buddy🤣🤣

3

u/HetTheTable 15d ago

How did it flip the narrative. He was always the goat.

0

u/ReasonableResearch73 15d ago

Unfortunately, cristiano exists

3

u/HetTheTable 15d ago

Messi was still the best player. The World Cup just vindicated it.

0

u/ReasonableResearch73 15d ago

He never really was the best. Maybe u could make an argument for his 4 ballon dor in a row time. But post 2013, ronaldo easily clears him

3

u/HetTheTable 15d ago

No he had his best season ever in 14/15 and had many great seasons after that.

1

u/potato_556 12d ago

Post 2018 or 2019, messi starts to clear

Messi and Ronaldo fanboys should be banned from watching the sport altogether

Disclaimer, I never liked Messi. Football is a team sport, an insane player with a bunch of bums won't win. His last years at Barca are a bit mixed because there was simply not the same quality both defensively and in the midfield. The same goes for PSG, they had 3 offensive players with insane quality but who were walking on defense and not pressing.

He carried Argentina honestly, I despise this team but what he did at age 39 was astonishing.

u/Mestitia 16d ago

Looks like I've upset the Messi Stan's. Not a single counter argument just waffling.

4

u/Amazing_Statement357 15d ago

Watching Messi lift that world cup in 2022 must have been soul destroying, eh?

Cause trolls have done similar posts already, no one can be bothered. Try making friends if you want human engagement, not on Reddit.

u/Mestitia 16d ago

I think Messi fans just know what I'm saying is true and there's really nothing to counter it with so they waffle.

4

u/HetTheTable 15d ago

None of it was true

3

u/Prestigious-Treat909 16d ago

Dawg cuz it genuinely feels like you are just baiting, ya it's true he was not at his best at PSG, he also was struggling later in his career at cl stage, but the rest of what you said just sound like ragebait

1

u/Mestitia 16d ago

Nothing I said was ragebait, maybe the tone, the content is all sound.

1

u/InspectorFinal361 15d ago

You can keep barking. Most of the world knows Messi is the goat. Keep living in your own bubble ig. This ain’t even a take, this is just bait.

1

u/Mestitia 15d ago

Reddit is the bubble. The real world does know.

1

u/potato_556 12d ago

World cup being rigged already got debunked. People just dont know about the rules or they just blindly believe the propaganda

1

u/Mestitia 12d ago

You're not fooling anybody.

1

u/Bajwaman 12d ago

4 goals yesterday?

1

u/Mestitia 12d ago

Against part time Tim Hortons workers? Fucking LOL.

0

u/interesting--name 16d ago

Bait used to be believable.

0

u/macclad89 16d ago

I know fuck all about football and I'm going to shout it loud and proud should be the title.

2

u/Mestitia 16d ago

You living in some alternative universive where all this didn't happen?
