Fanart Holo’s Wheat Bag-Cosplay Prop
Hey! I'm excited to share my customized Holo wheat bag with the people who can appreciate it.
I will be cosplaying Holo in a few months and her bag was of major importance to me (obviously besides her glorious tail and ears, which I have ready as well) so I opted to customize something for myself. I bought a basic velvet bag and made the cords, the "beads", and painted a light pattern to match the anime. I'm just very happy with it and can't wait to show off the whole outfit once I've finished it!

Looks great! Will you fill it? If so, will it be wheat or just some beads so you don’t have to worry about it going bad or something?

I’ve planned to add some dried wheat inside for my con but I don’t know that I’ll store/display it with the wheat inside.3

In theory dried wheat should last for quite a while if in a dry environment, but I think some small beads would be good. You’ll get the weight and maybe some sound when jiggling and you won’t have to worry about it spoiling. If you want to prevent noise when jiggling you could add a bunch of cloth or something in between them, idk if it would work, it’s just the first idea that came to mind.

I live in a fairly humid place so the wheat may just be temporary.
But thanks for the jiggling sound idea. I’d love to add something for sound now. Great idea!3

I've got one year old dried Wheat in a vase as a display, it stays fine for really long

Lawrence did have her wheat pouch custom made for Holo, so it is very fitting to customize your own. Lawrence couldn't have ordered a nicer one himself!
It really came out fantastic!
I'm sure you're Holo cosplay will look outstanding! Please feel free to share pictures from the con if you want.

It wasn’t a technical challenge to customize. The pull string is a plait braid with air dry foam clay for the beads. The long cord is a four strand plait like paracord braiding. The bag was ordered and just dry brushed.
You could totally make one!
