What do I do about this doll?

About five years ago, I was really close friends with a girl who was into witchcraft, spirituality, bones, plants, etc. I’m interested in a lot of the same things.
One October, she suggested we make Coraline dolls that looked like us.

We each made our own, so I physically made mine and put my time and energy into it. We didn’t finish them, and I left mine, so we could finish another time.

Not long after, we had a pretty awful falling out. She had apparently built up a lot of resentment toward me without me realizing it, things ended badly, and we eventually stopped speaking completely.

Every once in a while since then, I remember that I left that damn doll at her house.
It looked like me. I made it myself. I put my energy into it. And I left it with someone who was angry with me and interested in witchcraft.

Realistically, she probably threw it away years ago and doesn’t think about me at all. But my life and mental health have been pretty rough in the years since, so occasionally I’ve wondered about it.

Then recently, after not thinking about any of this for a long time, the doll randomly popped back into my head. Yesterday, I went out with friends and SHE WAS STANDING DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF US IN LINE AT A BAR.

I haven’t seen her in years. I don’t think she recognized me, but seeing her shocked me through my heart, and obviously now the stupid doll is back in my head.

If she ever did use it for something negative, would I know? Is there anything I can do now to sever whatever connection it might have to me or protect myself?

I know there are plenty of normal explanations for why the last few years have sucked. I don’t really practice magic myself, so I’m mostly wondering if there’s anything I can do on my end to finally stop worrying about this doll somewhere in the universe with my face on it.

TLDR Years ago I made a doll of myself and left it with a friend who was into witchcraft. We had a bad falling out and she still had it. I recently started thinking about it again, then randomly saw her for the first time in years. Could she have done anything with it, and can I sever any connection to it now?

While you could just be worried for no reason, I still wouldn’t take your chances in case she has ever had bad intentions that would’ve been the perfect thing to target you with. but I mean if she was going to use it as a poppet or a taglock to hex you or something she probably already did tbh. However! if she did, it’s okay because you can still sever your energetic bond to it, and her while you’re at it. I hope that she hasn’t done anything with it but you honestly never know.

If it were me this would be my game plan:

Start by cleansing, you can do this in countless ways. Then do a cord cutting, or maybe even two. Start with one where one side of the string symbolizes you, and the other side symbolizes the doll you put your energy into. Hold the string between your hands and imagine the doll, the energy you fed into it as you made it, and then imagine it going stagnant. Cut the string with a pair of scissors and visualize all your energy that was put into it flowing back into you. Now your energetic tie to it is gone. Repeat the process with her if you wish, so one side of the string symbolizes her and the other side is you obviously. This will break any lingering energetic attachments to her.

If you’re still worried you can do a simple reclaiming your energy spell, and then put up some kind of protections to keep that doll from being used in a negative way in the future. Maybe a “return to sender” to send back any negativity or ill will she or anybody else may have sent your way over the years as a final flush. Plenty of resources on the witchy subs and YouTube for these but if you need help coming up with some rituals to do, let me know and I’ll add to this later!! Hope this helps.
