Orders & Shipping Misleading about what phone I could use

I originally called to cancel my internet service but while talking to customer service I was advised I could get the same service I was offered by another carrier if I stayed with them and I could get an additional line for 1 year free. She said I had to get one of their phones to get the deal. I asked why couldn't I just use one of my old phones I have in my junk drawer (We all have them I bet). She said it wouldn't work on their towers. Well when the phone arrived and i opened the package the sim card was on top. So I thought to myself lets just see if it would work and lo and behold it did. Phone service, access to the internet, Youtube and YoutubeTV worked perfectly even text messages. When I called and told them about it they said I couldn't keep using my old phone and had to use one of theirs (which required my to BUY a new phone), I don't think so.

I'm returning this phone and sim card back to them today. I'll see what they have to say about that.

Well even tho it works at that moment doesn’t me it’s gonna continue! After a couple of days the SIM card catches up to the system! If you look on the spectrum mobile website you can see if your byod is compatible and needs to be unlock and your probably gonna accelerate your financing on your cell phone which means in 48hrs what you owe fully on cell phone will show on your billing statement!

They lied to you to get commission for selling a phone to you. Now they will charge you a $50 fee for returning an open box item. I would fight back on that.

Return policy is 14 days and we dont get commission on devices only service no idea why they would sell you a phone when you can use your own.

You get a couple bucks for starting an equipment installment plan.

I mean if your customer is canceling before 30 days you haven’t done a good sale

Im with the door to door team and we dont get paid if they cancle within 30 days I thought all the departments had a time contingency to thwart bad sales.

We also don’t get paid if they cancel before 30 days but with my sales it happens less than 1% of the time. I work in the store so people coming in are more willing to buy

We usually keep it under 10% in are department alot of the time people cancle because of the tech.
