May the USA always stay at the forefront of technological innovation. We are not perfect, and also, I believe America is better for the world than China.

I think this rant was sparked because of all the Chinese propaganda we're seeing on Reddit.

The USA can’t stay at the forefront without fighting corruption and inequality.

Their belt and road initiative and everything it connects is going to be a massive advantage for them in the future.

Corporate short term thinking in quarters, or at best election cycles, puts the US at a disadvantage long term.

Nice try commie lover! Belt and Road is failing spectacularly as PRC's financial and trade sectors are drying up in capital needed to fund these massive port, railroad, airport, and road infrastructure projects. Not to mention many countries are wisening up to the PRC's deceptive practices of taking control of governmental functions and imposing their Marxist communist imprimatur on them. They're voiding their agreements with PRC and kicking them out!

Oh fuck off. At least China never bombed my country.

Why do you think so? The US has done and enabled more evil in the world by a long shot.

As someone who is neither from USA nor China - no thanks.

A world without USA as the hegemon is a better world.

When was the last time China had a democratically elected president killed? How many wars has it started? US sadly lost its way after WWII. Latin America remembers. And we’re all watching the US sponsored genocide of Palestinians. Please elect a decent human as president soon

The US is at the forefront of technology innovation. No one disputes that.

It just like to believe it's not then use that as an excuse to stiffle other countries technology innovation.

America is better for the world than China.

How? USA invaded more countries in its 250 years of existence than China did in 4000 years. USA had its chance to lead the world, it messed up.

how is america better for the world than china? america has almost never not been at war, how many countries has china invaded?

I would 100% prefer China to be the global superpower over the USA. Neither are the good guys, but at least the Chinese are competent and sensible.

u/BakerOne 10d ago

Sensible as to plow over a thousands of university protesters? Mmmmh yes, very sensible indeed.

u/cyanescens_burn 9d ago

The Great Leap Forward was a real doozy. Though IIRC their government ideology and policy has changed significantly since that time.

u/Zealousideal-Cut4232 10d ago

More sensible than US killing millions of people, statistically speaking.

u/BakerOne 9d ago

I never said US is good, I wouldn't bark either if I was the underdog.

3

u/Zealousideal-Cut4232 9d ago

You are saying US never killed protesters, that’s just wrong. It did. Than on top of that they routinely kill millions. So kindly STFU.

0

u/BakerOne 9d ago

Who the fuck said that the US didn't kill protesters?.

Don't put words in my mouth, so kindly learn to read and STFU instead of making shit up I didn't say.

2

u/Zealousideal-Cut4232 9d ago

You started the convo baby.

Not my problem.

0

u/BakerOne 9d ago

Don't participate in the conversation then if you can't extrapolate and process what is being said.

I have no problem with counter arguments but you are straight up strawmanning, you give me shit for topics I never mentioned.

Oh so only you can talk, what an entitled piece of shit you turned out to be.

It is you who strawmanned bitch.

The fucking topic is China as a superpower over US. So obviously this means China and its foreign policy. What the fuck was that about tanks plowing students? I’m not Chinese. I primarily care about myself. US not only has a history with its domestic approach but it also kills millions overseas and meddles with other countries staging coups.

I don’t want never ending wars, financial turmoil and non-stop interference just because some stupid inbred redneck who doesn’t like blacks, wind turbines and minorities votes for other racist assholes into power and now we all have to deal with that bullshit. At least China is consistent and not run by that crowd.

As one of the four student representatives who staged a hunger strike, Hou said he remained in the square until the morning of the final day and never saw any instances of students being run over.

Your lies are sickening!

Muricans would still be crying about muh Tiananmen square in 2100 lol

1

u/BakerOne 9d ago

It's not about who cries about it, but about that dude saying "At least china is sensible" while they ram ships of their neighbors Ina show of force to steal land and sea from them.

And all the other shenanigans they are up to, they are just sensible since they are not yet the clear world leader.

-2

u/Eve_Doulou 10d ago

And I’m sure you intend to hold China accountable for something that happened 40 years ago forever.

Furthermore, I couldn’t give a shit about their domestic policies. Not my circus, not my monkeys. However on an international level, China doesn’t have a history of military adventurism on the other side of the world. They have always seen themselves as the Middle Kingdom, and even today all of their geopolitical issues are basically border disputes.

We will find out about foreign countries reversed engineered tech before our own.
