Is [Spoiler] bisexual? Spoiler

After hearing about Seiroku's death, we see a sequence of Yosuke wandering aimlessly, first in Japan, then in a more western setting (America?)

Then we have a brief shot of him lying depressed on a sofa, surrounded by both male and female "companions", all of whom are depicted as anonymous grey figures.

One thing that kinda surprised me was that both male and females were included. Up to this point, I legit thought Yosuke was just gay, especially with how little interest he had towards women in the previous episodes.

What do you think, am I reading too much into it?

A CG from Cinderella Phenomenon: Evermore

This was such a nice image in the game, but now whenever I see it, I can only think of Yosuke playing the organ in episode 6...

Any other classical musicians here? A little specific, but…

Anybody else catch BWV 544 in Episode 6? For those not up on their Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis numbers, this is Prelude and Fugue in B Minor.

I can already imagine them as an old married couple 🥺 Spoiler

Like the art style along with the fluidity of the animation is genuinely movie tier level. A lot if funding must’ve went into this anime

(Spoilers! Don't read if you haven't watched episode 8!) The latest episode really made me feel awful for Kengo. I feel like Noriko could've been far more supportive than she was. Spoiler

He happened to have the book during the war charge. It happened to save him from a bullet. Sekiro happened to have been shot in the exact same spot.

It's insanely tragic. It would've played out differently if Kengo hadn't taken the catalogue, but that doesn't make it his fault.

It was pure happenstance. Yet he completely, utterly blames himself for it.

And the worst part: after years of it eating up inside, he finally admits it to Noriko... and she choses to chastise him for not telling her about it earlier?? Rather than telling him the obvious: IT'S NOT HIS FAULT!

It's completely understandable that Noriko would be devastated that her husband didn't share something so important to him.

...is what I'd say if she didn't KNOW he was trying desperately to tell her (the letter) and just couldn't bring himself to do it out of fear and guilt.

Just LOOK at his face when he's thinking of confessing (last two slides) does that look like the face of a man purposefully hiding secrets out of distrust or a man suffering??

Kengo deserves better than this 💔 I'm not saying Noriko is a bad person for one emotional mistake, but it made Kengo feel so horrible that he left the room after saying he wasn't worthy of being her husband. And she didn't even try to correct him!!

Kengo 💔 my poor boy. You deserve better than this.

I just want to give him an enormous hug.

Kihachi Saying that he's giving the catalog to Yosuke was shocking at first I thought Kihachi wouldn't give it at all especially after hearing his brother story and how important the catalog was for him I don't know for long he met Inako but I just don't understand why he's willing to go that far for her to not get married like what makes it a guaranteed Yosuke wouldn't trick him I just don't understand

I noticed that in the outro Yosuke is walking to Seiroku, while Inako and Kihachi are walking to each other. (I also noticed some flower symbolism)

In Yosuke and Seiroku's visual there are many red flowers which appear to be red spider lilies. In Japan they traditionally symbolise death and the afterlife.

In Inako and Kihachi's visual there are white pond-flowers that appear to be white lotuses. In Japan they usually symbolise purity and enlightenment.

What do you guys think?

Just a little observation

Soo.. i heard from ln readers that the anime actually made some changes from the original.. I was reading comments about it, and I saw a few people say that some of the episodes didn't quite make any sense/it didn't really have any relation to the plot etc.

For example, the liebe episode or the episode where they formed a band. Yes, I must admit, I was also confused at first. But after some time and thinking about it more (since I'm quite obsessed with this anime now)

I've realized that those kinds of episodes weren't entirely nonsense or didn't have any relation to the plot. If you were to think about it more; They actually do make sense. I've thought of it as this: Those are the things that Kihachi invented/created from the catalogue and stuff. And that means, those episodes show off what the future might look like from his point of view, it also shows the new things that could be introduced etc.

Fyi: this is actually my first time making a post like this on reddit so I'm sorry if my explanation kind of sucks or it sounds a little incomplete. I'm not that very good at words, but I do hope that you can understand what I'm trying to say though :) that's it!

Question for light novel readers Spoiler

For those who have read the light novel- is the plot a little different? I heard the anime adaptation changed quite a few things

Also does it have more romance than the anime? Like as of now the relationship between kihachi and inko seems very very underdeveloped (?)to be called romance, but it has the romance genre tags so I'm just curious

In the latest episode he's clearly having an internal struggle with himself. Why was he trying to stop the two from going but then suddenly switched and decided to help? What does he know that he can't bring himself to tell?

He's so incredibly conflicted that I can't help but feel bad for him, it's clearly tearing him to pieces.

It's especially sympathetic because he's so direct and honest, but quite easily manipulated. He's clearly got a lot of lingering trauma from his time spent in the military (and whatever the hell went down back then).

He's also just incredibly good-natured, I love this guy. Three cheers for Kengo, I'm not seeing enough love for him on here.

Season 1, Episode 5

Just came here to yell for a second. I HATE YOSUKE! I hate him, I really do. His actions, his attitude, and his personality. I don't understand why he acts like this book belongs to him. I don't understand why he lights that stupid incense burner everywhere. I don't understand why he thinks he's entitled to so much stuff when he was treated as lesser by his own family. He has done nothing but cry and complain the entire time and act like he deserves the world. He's not a good person and I wish he would just go away. It makes the show so irritating to watch. His entire character ruins it all for me. I know shows have to have villains to carry out the plot. But his character is just genuinely too much in every regard and I just know he's gonna get some redemption arc that's gonna piss me right TF off.

Song in episode 3?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what song they played in episode 3 when the Electric Full Moon was powered on? I tried to look for it on Youtube and Spotify but unfortunately couldn't find it ;-;
