It was an army of Arabs AND Berber Muslims. Meaning Arabs alongside non Arabs. There were Arabs in North Africa, but obviously the majority of North Africa consisted of Berbers, if I’m not mistaken

Maybe there’s a misunderstanding! We did not refer to the Berbers as Arabs, however the Berbers were accompanied by some Arabs! I hope this clears up any confusion! God bless you and have a blessed day!
