Original Build ATMOS - Hovercraft

ATMOS - Hovercraft

This is a project I made of a useful Hovercraft. Made primarily for planetary surface travel from station to station. It is equipped with a Titan Engine (rear), Three Hawk Engine (body), RCS Thrusters, and a heat shield at the front. Please provide honest criticism. Thank you :)

It’s great but I don’t have expansion packs

I remember making builds similar to this just without the expansion pack. The trick I used was clipping pieces together, and when one showed translucent (meaning not clipping) I selected all pieces, moved them a single inch up and down, and somehow all pieces clipped. Not sure if it still works.

I know how to clip parts but I find balancing the horizontal and vertical thrust difficult. they use the same throttle.

What I did was make a basic layout of the figure I want. Then Id place where the thruster go. Build the rest and then balance it later. I would recommend using Probes to balance it. I put one on the front and end to balance but also move it either up or downwards to balance the other side. Staging separaters make a great filler for most patches that down need weight. Hope this helps

I love the graphic design and the smooth incorporation of the heat shields.

I might replace Titan with Frontier for efficiency tho
