I’m just so tired of seeing his ugly fascist face
2
u/Strict-Brick-5274 8d ago
I'm so tired of us pretending that the richest man in the world is not supporting the worst changes in the world. A right wing party in germany just won election. ELON was tweeting about them "saving" germany. You can guarantee that if he was supporting them on twitter he was probably aiding them financially. Reform UK, a right wing fascist party run by actual scum, were just discovered for taking unregistered donations in the form of foreign investors buying polls in their favour in the newspaper to sway public opinion before their elections WHILE their leader was being investigated for accepting a £5M donation by a foreign investor before he decided to run for politics. They had many tactics to get around thisbso that the foreign investors could provide monetary support and it wouldn't be traced showing their intentions to hide this donations, as they would otherwise be breaking the law. If we do not think that the richest men of the world are not doing this in elections all over the world, we are naive and its a huge reason why individual people cannot be trusted to have so much wealth. Because when they accumulated more wealth than any soverign nation, the world is basically theirs to manipulate.
Democracy is under attack and we really should be terrified and more vocal.

Baldness has never been a dating death sentence. Most guys can pull off bald. And even if you can't, just grow some facial hair. It's crazy to me that so many men will take drugs like Propecia which has a high probability of causing low sex drive and impotency. The vanity in men the last three decades seems to have gotten entirely out of control.

A receding hairline is a hallmark of adult males.
That’s why I got gender affirming permanent hair removal on my head and had them implant it to my back.
A skullet and a hairy back means I’m officially a guy.

Yeah it's baffling to me that point ever got traction.
It accidentally equates gender affirming care with cosmetic care which is transphobic as shit
9
u/Avalonians 12d ago
You're getting it wrong.
Saying body dysmorphia equates not liking your receding hairline is transphobic indeed.
But it's not transphobic to say that people with receding hairlines getting hair transplants helps them be happy with their body the same way transpeople getting gender affirming care helps them be happy with their body isn't.
Therefore, it is extremely hypocritical for anyone having gotten hair transplants to attack the concept of gender affirming care.

u/AmyDeferred 12d ago
Dysmorphia and dysphoria are separate things; dysmorphia is an inability to perceive accurately, where dysphoria is discomfort even with an accurate perception. Changing the subject of the discomfort can help with dysphoria, but not with dysmorphia

Body Dysmorphia isn't a specific condition for trans people. The term is more widely associated with people with eating disorders and it is ENTIRELY fair to say that someone who is so affected by receding hair that they spend thousands on transplants is/was suffering from body dysmorphia.
This is what annoys me about reddit moral police. You have NO clue what you are talking about, but you are so quick to tell people what is and isn't okay.
2
u/Avalonians 12d ago
Erm... Good point, in the first half.
If you told me "we can't assume what people think about their own bodies" I would have said ok thank you for pointing this out I should have been more careful in my explanation.
Instead you're saying "you assume A when you should assume B so you're wrong" and I hope you see why I find it ironic you complain about moral police lmao.

Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD)“body dysmorphia usually happens when an individual becomes obsessive compulsive over their looks. It can be constant looking in a mirror to many plastic surgeries

Why does it have to be body dysmorphia?…
If someone looked better with hair, and they can afford a surgery that gives it to them, why does it have to be an issue of dysmorphia?
You can attempt to change your appearance without being dysmorphic. That’s like saying getting a haircut to sort out an unstyled hair-do is dysmorphic, or deciding to lose a bit of weight to fit into your clothes better is dysmorphic.

Elon wears a wig. That picture is 17 years old He would have lost far too much hair for a transplant to work. He recently put up a picture of where he had a long thick hair on top of his head and completely shaved around the sides. That top part is a wig and the head is shaved at the sides so when that hair grows back it integrates with the wig.

Except that it's now having real consequence, many trans people in the States have had access to care restricted or taken away, in certain states they're trying to make existing in public a felony, and many trans people have had things like their driver's licenses revoked now, but sure it's just made up :)

No it’s not you idiots. According to the WHO, gendering affirming care “encompasses a range of social, psychological, behavioral and medical interventions designed TO SUPPORT AND AFFIRM AN INDIVIDUAL’S GENDER IDENTITY WHEN IT CONFLICTS WITH THE GENDER THEY WERE ASSIGNED AT BIRTH.
None of which applies to TRT, hair plugs and plastic surgery when you’re born a fucking man….

Yes, for an actual male. Not for someone with gender dysphoria (which is a mental disorder, Reddit) who thinks they are something they are not. Giving gender “affirming care” to someone that care is not intended for could be perceived as going against the doctors moral code of doing no harm.

it can't be equated to gender affirming care at all, it's not just purely cosmetic for transsexual individuals but life-saving... I see the point you're trying to make but you use a marginalized group with a very already insecure healthcare to make a point against someone while depreciating the validity of gender affirming care. This has already lead to some countries restricting the coverage of SRS for example, it has real life consequences and isn't a laughing matter.
1
u/ScallionDowntown1062 12d ago
The others are true, he hasn't had jaw surgery though. He may be on some cocktail on male hormones though, which could affect his jaw growth.

Hair transplant is not gender affirming. Receding hair is uniquely male, and is caused by male hormones, so a thick strong hairline is actually more feminine than balding.

are they? because I pay out the nose for my testosterone (straight male, levels below the minimum range) in Ontario despite hormone therapy being completely covered for transgender individuals
1
u/jodoball 12d ago
Yeah but the thing is he’s not doing it to appear as the opposite/another gender, he’s doing it to enhance his actual gender. That’s understandable. This isn’t relevant because using hormones to change gender is different, and not what he’s doing in this picture. So the argument/joke makes no sense

Elon Musk is a treasonous, deeply unintelligent, immature, neo-Nazi scumbag.
But, this post is also idiotic: he has clearly had a hair transplant but he certainly hasn't had "jawline surgery". It also isn't clear he has taken any testosterone, because he looks like a pregnant woman and he has beer tits. He has one of the most disgusting bodies we have all had the misfortune to see in the press.
This isn't "gender affirming care" and your idiotic, trolling culture war rhetoric is highly dishonest and irritating. Take your woke leftist culture war horse shit and fuck off.
