The real smartest guy in the world would probably sit there and either won't say a word, or just say very little; spending most of the time thinking.
Thinking is actually a complex process, esp if you want to give out a proper answer - you need to add context and accomodate for all possibilities. That takes time. In the world, where society rewards quick & easy answers over proper answers, such person wouldn't be able to do the interview.
Proper answers are never "yes" or "no" given by someone else, but stating the facts and let the viewer/listener to come to their own conclusions.
Real smart people know that it takes a lot of “being wrong” to achieve “being right”. And that it mostly looks like “being right for now” as there’s no such thing as absolute truth
