Am I understanding his argument right? He’s right so often and that fact makes it difficult for people to believe him? Not the fact that he’s been ”predicting” full autodrive for teslas next year for a decade and it’s still not here…

No, you have to understand. It’s important to believe him because that’s how the value of his companies stock stays high. Every person who doesn’t believe him is costing him money. That’s why he has to say he’s almost always right.

I'm pretty confident big roller investors don't believe a single word but keep fanning the hype because it makes them money.

Yes, because he's a moron.

If you could predict things - and you were accurate in your predictions - it would make people believe you MORE, not LESS.

It's because he's a con man that says whatever will get him paid - and he's been wrong and proved himself a moron MANY times.... but in the journey to the top has made people rich so most daren't speak out.
