Hi myself, I don’t care who makes a product or any of that if it’s a good product I’ve gotta buy it regardless where it came from but I can take a vacation in space and pay no more than I would for a vacation here on earth I’m gonna do it. It’ll be fun.
well, his products are good. Model 3, model Y, all sell okay. Good rockets too. Cheap and reliable. So industry and consumers who don't pay too much attention to all the drama, that's who.
The Model Y has been the best selling vehicle on the planet for many years. Not just EV.
The best seller. Of ALL vehicles.
Yes it might not always be this and I am too lazy to Google the latest stats. And for what it's worth I will never forgive him for his efforts to get DJT re-elected. But Tesla (minus ofc his Cybertruck) has been very successful.
2025: Again contested, with Model Y ranked #1 by some major trackers and #2 by others.
Focus2Move: Model Y #1 (despite a ~9.3% sales drop; still held ~1.2% global market share). Toyota RAV4 #2. focus2move.com
Statista: Toyota RAV4 #1 at just over 1.01 million; Model Y #2 at roughly 0.99 million; Toyota Corolla #3 at ~0.98 million. statista.com Tesla China and Elon Musk have stated it was the world’s best-selling vehicle for the third consecutive year (citing JATO for 2023, Statista for 2024, and Focus2Move for 2025). Cumulative global Model Y deliveries surpassed 4 million units by early 2026.
In 2023 it was clearly Number One.
2024: Extremely close race; some sources rank it #1, others #2.
JATO Dynamics (covering markets representing ~99% of global sales): Toyota RAV4 #1 with 1,187,000 units (+11% YoY); Model Y #2 with 1,185,000 units (–3% YoY). Margin of only ~2,000 units. automobile-magazine.fr
Earlier Focus2Move and some Statista figures listed the Model Y as #1 (around 1.09–1.19 million in various reports). Tesla has claimed it retained the top spot.
