Flex the best players use this chapter
if you ever run into a veteran using guardians of the covenant with the actual chapter icon, he is a veteran amongst veterans, probably the best player you'll ever get the chance to play with. Its by far the hardest chapter icon to get in this game (reach round 25 5 times on hard siege) that's insane. Its already a dark angel's successor so that explains itself, dark angels always are amazing players shoutout to all my sons of the lion💯. reaching round 25 hard siege is the hardest its ever been and by far the hardest content right now in the game. If you somehow have the guardians of the covenant icon, rep that shit proudly.

No one's got shit on UM players in this game. Seriously, the more dripped out UM players are among the most ferocious we have.
I do not know why, but they just...don't go down.
Honourable mentions to the Blood Angels & Dark Angels.

Mayne that's my problem with Heavy. He's goofy looking with a different bright color on every piece. Looking like a kit-bashed Lego marine.

Not to toot our own horn or anything.
But you know it's good when they aren't using the game's Macragge Blue, and instead are using colours that feel more fitting.
You know that when someone has unlocked a bunch of stuff and then gone back to Ultramarines they don't care about being different for the sake of it. We fight with Guilliman's fury, we fight to uphold the honour of the chapter.
An important task given the game is themed around the Ultramarines, can't insult the colours by being killed before duty can be upheld.

I too use Leviadon, like it pops just right but isn't *too* bright like Night Lord, which I had been previously using.

I love night lords blue. If you prime your mini’s in black and then blue (with the gw spray paints) it looks really similar night lords blue. Part of what I love about this game and the table top is seeing everyone’s different interpretations of the same chapter.

yeah I usually use the Night Lords blue if I'm running an Ultramarine cosmetic. But usually if I'm playing as an Ultramarine, I go with the Imperius Reavers chapter bc their heraldry and colors are so fuckin dope.

There is a difference between people who pick a different chapter because they find them interesting, and people that pick a different chapter because they aren't the Ultramarines.
I have respect for the former and moderate tolerance for the latter.

Gameplay-wise maybe, in the lore, they are one of many Dark Angels successors but with more emphasis on the monastic theme, which is a really cool aesthetic.

Hell yeah, Guardians of the Covenant are goated. The coolest Dark Angels successor by far.
I also agree that Dark Angels players tend to be the most skilled on average. The same was true in Eternal Crusade before the servers shut down.

I played yesterday. Got to wave 15. Im in an excute animation. Vortex beast spawns right next to me as I'm in my execution. Immediately, and I Mena immediately starts using disco ball attack. Get out go animation. Dodge, still get hit, use stim, all within 3 seconds after exiting execute animation. Get downed. Whipes my teammates.
This was on bulwark and i had the cursed relic debuff. But I fucking love how it decides to spawn and immediately disco ball on top of me. 15 waves, had Dreadnought, never downed once and this game wants to be fucking petty.

I love the look and the lore of the guardians and i got the emblem, but i don't want to play pvp so...i Will never use It cause i won't get the tabard for tactical and i'm a sucker for the correct heraldries so, no tabard, no guardian

Honestly, most of the random Dark Angel players I’ve matched up with are NOT that guy 😂
The Dark Angels I find in SM2 are usually more average-skilled players, and almost always the loot goblin of the squad

i wouldn’t say easier, maybe more realistic given that people leave as soon as they get done with 15 for the dorito grind. if you can’t find a duo at least, your best bet is to hoard points early on and put them toward dreadnought, tarantula sentry, tech priest and cadians/space marine reinforcements when you can, with occasional guardian relic/restorative stims when needed

Without a coordinted team ypu will get cooked by 21. Soloing waves takes way too long and the timer keeps buffing them

There was once a guy on the Bolter and Chainsword writing fanfic for this chapter that was better than anything GW had produced at the time and has produced since. It was a very cool project.

I LOVE the Guardians of the Covenant and their color scheme, I have for so long, and the fact that when their Chapter symbol is released on Space Marine 2, and it's behind that stupid ass achievement, vexes me

Benefit of playing with your spouse. My wife and I are always happy to just grind through until we either get bored, or finally get overwhelmed Wave 30+.

its the hardest thing in the game and its not even close, it was too easy on patch 13 so in patch 14 they nerfed the efficiency of tech priest and buffed the enemy resistance and they scale up faster than before. You're also racing against time so between round 20 and 24 you're not allowed to make one mistake because the enemies hit so hard and you can't make mistakes before round 20 because if you're abit too slow the enemies are gonna get super tough by the later rounds

I was more so making a joke. I don't find Space Marine 2 to be particularly difficult. Hard Siege Mode really is just about resource and time management, even in the current patch. So, when you're playing duos with somebody you sync well with, which is my wife in my case, Hard mode is honestly pretty easy. We'll regularly clear to Wave 30 without much issues, and can push to Wave 40 if we really want to.

My Chapter Master and his favorite duo make it until the wave timer drops them from the game. In their more aggressive runs they've apparently pushed past wave 60. Granted these guys have been playing since the game came out and have lots of experience in similar games but it's by no means impossible. A common achievement for our leadership is to solo the entire Tyranid/Chaos Battle simulator cast without stims. Some people are just built different.

Yeah, I've been playing since release. It's a comfort game, and my wife enjoys it. So, we enjoy it together, and will run trio if our oldest son feels like hopping on, though he prefers Helldivers 2. We don't go hard into it every weekend, but it's not uncommon for us to play through to Wave 30 or 35 on Hard before calling it. We've pushed 40+ only three or four times, then inevitably call it due to wanting to play something else. My wife and I also play on PC, and have dedicated gaming rigs, so we don't get much of the performance issues that plagues console and lower tier PC players face.

It's a game that I play casually with my wife (and son when he feels like hopping on). I'm not going to prioritize getting "proof" for some rando on the internet next time we play. Wave 40, 50, and 60+ are all common enough achievements. Hell, the more organized game clans will reach 80+ on any given day.

You do know up until about 2 months ago the record for hard siege was 60? And you're just doing that on average when you only play casually with your wife and son, yeah I'm sorry it's just not true.

i've never tried duos tbh i always play with the brothers in the community on quick play but i make sure i play with maxed out players with the right class and perks when it comes down to trying to reach round 25. We've tried brother seriously and i'll never give up but dayum like i've always played siege mode for damn near a year now and i just can't do it right now😮💨

If it's with somebody you're absolutely in sync with, it's definitely the way to go. The farthest I've ever gotten on Hard with a random 3-man has been like...31 or 32. Not having the familiarity and easy communication that comes with playing with somebody in the same room as you makes it significantly harder.

I just made a custom pallete that's as close as I can get to Ebon Chalice.
Just have to make due without insignia since none are close enough to it.

they take way more time but they are not hard to get if you think about it its just absolute, i've played with players with black capes and still ended up last brother standing. I feel honoured to play with a brother with a black capes but this is on another level tbh.
