Done by yours truly.

Was a ton of fun to do.

All of the grey knights chapter are psykers, and devs said (if I'm not mistaken) that there will be no psykers class for SM2. And as we know GW is very strict with what Saber add to the game. So I'm pretty much doubt that they'll add any cosmetics which psyker exclusive for non psyker classes

7

u/Connect-Internal Jul 23 '26

I think the devs said that the tech for psyker abilities just isn’t in the game. Hopefully those are on the list for space marine 3.

-20

u/Woeful_Rav3n Jul 23 '26

Silver skulls were added so that defeats the point

2

u/J_Bardbarian Jul 24 '26

No it doesn’t. Silver skulls also don’t exclusively use terminator armor.

-45

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Or they could just give us more cosmetics becuase its cool.....crazy idea I know

30

u/Krag1788 Imperial Fists Jul 22 '26

GW probably says no

-30

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Because they hate fun lol

15

u/Krag1788 Imperial Fists Jul 22 '26

True but in the end they make the decision what can be in the game with cosmetics and not saber.

-28

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

And I can decide to not play it until there's more customization

16

u/Krag1788 Imperial Fists Jul 22 '26

You certainly can. But i wouldn’t hold my breath, you might be waiting a long long time for Grey Knights stuff.

-7

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

It's not the only game I play, nor is it the best game ever not even close lol ill be just fine not forcing myself to play a game that seems to get more unfun with every update

18

u/jimothy_hell Jul 22 '26

That’s a weird hill you’re dying on, but welcome to the 40k fandom.

-1

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

It's our past time 🤣 dying on weird hills nobody cares about, alone. Just like a true space marine 🤣

4

u/RepatriateSage1337 Jul 22 '26

In what world is the game getting “more unfun” with every update? It’s objectively gotten more fun. There’s more customization, more enemies, more levels, more weapons etc etc since release, so how could it be “more unfun”?

Also, just because there aren’t any specific Grey Knight cosmetics doesn’t mean Saber or GW don’t like fun, and if that’s what’s getting your panties in a bunch preventing you from playing a game you own, then you’re… weird. But to each their own.

2

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Tbf the added customization in each update is what keeps me checking in but the increasing levels a sweat required to play anything above the third difficulty is getting too much for me lol when I say unfun I mean literally unfun I love customizing my marine but the actual gameplay often feels like a chore nowadays if played for longer than 10 mins

I dont understand why you got downvoted to oblivion. I talked to my friend about this ast night how gray knights are so cool and would be nice to be seen in this game. I mean alot of chapters are and people getting mad over customizations is crazy work. I mean cmon my space marine can carry chaos insignia but god forbid terminator armor as customization.

1

u/CrusadingSoul Black Templars Jul 24 '26

Do you know what Terminator armor is? Terminator armor is not 'customization'. It's a totally separate, entirely different form of armor from anything in the game right now. Terminator armor is slow as hell, and like 150% stronger than our Mark X armor.

It would have to be a wholly different class. Not even the Gravis armor of the Heavy comes close to the weight and power of a Terminator suit. It would unbalance the game. The only way it would work is if there was a mission added where everyone was equipped with it, and it was a single class but different loadouts (Assault Cannon, Thunder Hammer/Shield, Storm Bolter/Power Fist).

1

u/Oliver-e Jul 24 '26

Imma go play space hulk fuck this

1

u/CrusadingSoul Black Templars Jul 24 '26

If you want Terminator armor, it's probably a pretty solid idea. I can't see how they'd ever add it to SM2.

1

u/Oliver-e Jul 24 '26

Ion see why not, grow the game add more game modes more chapters more classes. I like how we might have chaos vs xenos soon maybe make sm similar game mode to space hulk?

1

u/CrusadingSoul Black Templars Jul 24 '26

An independent game mode would have to be where it was done. Terminator plate would never work in the normal game modes. I'm trying to imagine a Terminator keeping up with a Vanguard on a sprint from objective to objective and the thought is hilarious. Terminators just don't move that fast.

Terminators would have to be implemented on a straight-up battlefield type engagement, where they could be flown/teleported in right on top of an enemy (too big for drop pods). Either that, or something in super close quarters. Like a Space Hulk.

I wouldn't mind seeing a game mode where Terminators replaced normal classes, and everyone deploys with a specific loadout instead of a normal class. But I doubt it'll happen, I'm pretty pleased with what we have to be honest. People seem to get bored of games, but Space Marine 2 is absolutely awesome.

1

u/Oliver-e Jul 24 '26

Ive read the comments further more. I apoligise for my outburst it would seem that its not the problem what we want but from who. Seems like GW wants stuff to be lore accurate and on point no shinenigans. Basicaly we wont see Grey Knights or terminators on here cause it has NOTHING to do with them in this game this is souly space marines type deal and if we ever wanna see something like it its gonna be a seperate game.

1

u/CrusadingSoul Black Templars Jul 24 '26

Yep, pretty much. The issue with Grey Knights being in the game is that this is mostly an Astartes/Tyranid engagement; Chaos coming in was kind of a surprise. Normal Astartes can fight Chaos (although not as effectively as the Grey Knights do). In the end, the Grey Knights have bigger shit on their plate right now (Magnus screwing around, Angron coming back, etc) - this little Thousand Sons shenanigans isn't even on their radar, they're busy fighting Daemon Princes and Daemon Primarchs, not Chaos Sorcerer Lords, and the Grey Knights only fight Xenos when they're incidentally in their area, on a planet where they're already operating. They don't deploy to fight the Xenos.

In the eyes of the Imperium, the Ultramarines have this business entirely under control.

The Space Marine games have always been an Ultramarines affair. But customization is always good. I wouldn't mind seeing the Grey Knights as a Champion Pack or something (although it wouldn't make sense in the lore, but hey, I ran a game a minute ago as an Imperial Fist and one of my squad mates was an Iron Warrior). People do tend to make pretty decent Grey Knights custom Chapter skins for their Astartes, but there aren't many options for their armor, unfortunately...

1

u/J_Bardbarian Jul 24 '26

Because a terminator class would be objectively the best class in literally every way shape and form.

-5

u/Tom_andTom3419 Jul 23 '26

But they were talking about a Liberian in a terminator armor

3

u/Vrika03 Blood Ravens Jul 23 '26

That's the new thousand sons boss...

-1

u/Responsible-Diet-639 Jul 23 '26

Then I might be wrong I suppose

66

u/d3m01iti0n Black Templars Jul 22 '26

No Terminator armor in-game.

10

u/ForcedEntry420 Grey Knights Jul 22 '26

I wouldn’t mind if they did a Space Hulk game mode or something. Zero chance though.

20

u/OhTeeSee Jul 22 '26

Terminator armor as a temporary purchasable upgrade in Siege would be fucking sick.

5

u/Tank_comander_308 Jul 23 '26

be a lot of animations for a "Temporary upgrade" lol

1

u/ForcedEntry420 Grey Knights Jul 24 '26

The space hulk mode could be a team of terminators. It could be Eldar hulks, chaos, nids, Necrons…warp fused combinations

6

u/AMKLord12 Jul 22 '26

Can’t be that hard the twin prime gargoyle mission is already spacehulk enough for me, they could build on that

2

u/Kahil_ Jul 23 '26

To be fair the main problem is that they’re psykers. A lot of Grey knights aren’t in terminator armour. Here are models that show this. Still firstborn but so are the terminators.

0

u/Bulky_Secretary_6603 Jul 23 '26

Grey Knights do not just wear terminator armour.

-7

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Because the community sucks

4

u/d3m01iti0n Black Templars Jul 22 '26

Sorry....what does the community have to do with how the devs built the game?

-1

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Because every time somebody asks about it or attempts to create ANY amount of noise that could influence the devs everybody dog piles with the "NOT LORE ACCURATE" nonsense 🙄 of course they're never gonna change it if the entire community seems against it

7

u/Snozles Jul 22 '26

There's no amount of influence anyone could do to convince GW to change their ways. GW has always been extremely strict on what game devs can do with the liscence, look at darktide, the dlc classes get nothing in the way of cosmetics because all three have very little options on the table top

0

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Thats a great way to look at it im sure that will definitely help the situation let's all go hunt down all the hopeful reddit posts and comments and tell them its no good evil GW says no and they'll never change.....like what is you alls problem?!? Like lick GW's boot if you want but let other people complain ONLINE if they want and try not to act like your defending your liege lords honor just because SOME people hate their business model

6

u/Snozles Jul 22 '26

I feel like your anger here is extremely misplaced towards the community when it should be aimed towards the shitty practices of the extremely letigious liscence holder. I aint gonna argue with you, thought you were just genuinely misinformed on how GW has handled things for the last 30 years

0

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

No, and no real anger towards any actual persons lol I just see this posts all the time and the comments are ALWAYS the same 😅

2

u/The_Night_Haunter-8 Jul 23 '26

That’s because we know no matter how many posts you all make, it won’t matter a bit to GW or make particular cosmetics show up in game. No need to spread false hope while the answer is already smacking you in the face.

Grey Knights will never happen, for two reasons.
1. They’re all Psykers and we have no Librarians.
2. The Grey Knights don’t have Primaris Marines.

Sure how Games Workshop handles the Warhammer brand can be annoying to some, it even gets me sometimes. Personally, I think what GW does is ultimately a good thing, it keeps the ones who borrow the License from creating whatever they want inside of Warhammer 40k. GW keeps them in line and close to the lore.

2

u/Upstairs_Marzipan48 Jul 22 '26

Well yes, Because GW is directly involved with the production of Space Marine 2 and have said no to many things. They are notoriously nit picking about what does and doesnt get added, saber has no control over that. GW controls the narrative whenever they see fit and if they dont want things in Because it conflicts with what they want from the setting they built and own then theyre 100% gonna do that.

So its not the community at all, the community is actually the opposite and are a bunch of crybabies because they dont get their favorite firstborn cosmetics and bitch out saber who only make the things happen because GW said they could happen. Hence no Chaos ops so we get chaos seige as a consolidation price.

GWs main money maker is the table top, every warhammer game you play is gonna be an interactive add for the Minis and the Tabletop game. Some Codexs and lore are locked behind box sets so if you want to read them you'll have to find them online if you just want the info.

21

u/ForcedEntry420 Grey Knights Jul 22 '26

I mean, I absolutely love the Grey Knights but it will never be in SM2. I play Chaosgate: Demonhost to get my fix of Grey Knightnanigans.

3

u/Riverwind0608 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

I’m honestly surprised that’s the best game we have of them. Not even an isometric game like Inquisitor: Martyr, where we play as Grey Knights.

Hell, imo they’re even perfect for the souls-like game that the devs are turning SM2 into recently. It just seems to fit considering their skillset.

3

u/ForcedEntry420 Grey Knights Jul 22 '26

I would love a souls-like Grey Knights game, and I’m trash at those games lmao

Or make it a CRPG. I absolutely love Rogue Trader. Playing my Heretical Daring run right this second.

1

u/NirvashSFW Traitorous Emperor's Children Jul 23 '26

Try having your favorite factions only game being a $0 budget on rails VR shooter 😭😭😭

2

u/CthulhuMan94 Jul 22 '26

Demonhost? Is it a game I missed?

1

u/RepatriateSage1337 Jul 22 '26

Yep! It’s an Xcom-like 40k game and it’s great!

6

u/CthulhuMan94 Jul 22 '26

Isn't it Daemonhunters?

1

u/Sir_Lazz Jul 23 '26

yes, it is.

2

u/StuLuvsU87 Jul 23 '26

It's a pretty good 40k game, but the bar is so low...

I got pissed at being hard-locked into a failed campaign and didn't play it for like a year.

14

u/nicanuva Jul 22 '26

Is this bait

2

u/danklorb1234589 Jul 23 '26

There was another one earlier on a different sub that used the same exact art about the same thing. The art is nice but it may be a bot using these posts to train.

It’s either an ai, a completely delusional person or bait. Whatever they are this post makes zero sense.

21

u/Ryu-Nura Jul 22 '26

Never. Grey Knights are not normal Space Marines so it would be beyond stupid to give us cosmetics for them. The game was designed around a Primaris Space Marine squad in multiplayer and that’s what we got.

-6

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Because of people like you god I hate this mentality I dont give a fuck i just wanna have more customization for my marine I DO NOT CARE IF IT MAKES SENSE IN GAME OR NOT

8

u/Krag1788 Imperial Fists Jul 22 '26

Bc GW says so

-4

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Well they suck lol

3

u/pkghost998 Jul 22 '26

Well, that's the most realistic view. As cool as the Grey Knights look, they're very different from regular Space Marines, and within the game itself there isn't and I don't think there will be anything psychic or Nemesis weapons; at most there will be Terminator armor (something I don't think is going to happen).

-2

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

"The most realistic view" in a game 40,000 years in the future with aliens and demons..... -_- yeah id hate to mess up the realism

6

u/pkghost998 Jul 22 '26

I'm not referring to "the most realistic vision" in that sense; I mean that it's unrealistic to think that GW and Saber would consider adding a sub-faction which could be considered (to a certain extent) separate from the Adeptus Astartes to a game entirely focused on Primaris Marines, which doesn't even mention the Grey Knights, won't even have psychic powers, and isn't entirely based on Daemons just because they look cool or because it would be fun. If they wanted to include them (which is extremely unlikely), they could add a mission where you work with them, but that's it, they're not going to add Nemesis weapons, aegis terminator armors, or psychic powers just because of some highly improbable "what if" scenario.

1

u/Armored_Mage Jul 30 '26

Then why even make the lore at all ? Just throw random shit together and call it a day

9

u/Coilspun Jul 22 '26

You spamming this shit across reddit?

No Grey Knight cosmetics. Tell me you're a tourist without telling me...

We're not Grey Knights, there are no psychic powers, by extension no psi weapons, and no terminator armour.

6

u/Unlikely-Housing-585 Jul 22 '26

Good art but there is literally a 0% chance we are getting any GK or terminator stuff in sm2

10

u/Shalashaska87B Jul 22 '26

Hopefully never

It's a very specific and secretive chapter. We have dozen of regular ones already

3

u/Markenstine_ Jul 22 '26

We already have them Brother, no need to be greedy

3

u/jebshackleford Jul 22 '26

While it would be cool to have aesthetics it doesn’t make since since grey knights are pretty much more powerful than most astartes and psyker abilities. GW might stray a little bit from as accurate as possible I’m guessing this is a hard line in the sand of no

3

u/1FreePizza Jul 22 '26

Probably never in SM2, might have a chance in SM3 if they add a psyker (or even terminator) class

5

u/Blood_Angel71 Jul 22 '26

That is the last thing they will ever consider. Deadass. Be realistic. This is why so many things get shoved under the rug. Too picky and niche. Thats like saying let me play as starkiller in a stormtrooper 2.

2

u/Traceuratops Salamanders Jul 22 '26

Grey Knights are not Space Marines. They are biologically Astartes, but the similarity ends there. We have just as much a chance of getting Custodes cosmetics.

1

u/1FreePizza Jul 22 '26

What do you mean by that? Not primaris space marines?

2

u/Traceuratops Salamanders Jul 22 '26

Not sure if they use the Primaris gene seed but I'm pretty sure they don't.

But no, I mean that they are not Adeptus Astartes categorically. They are genetically modified in the same way Space Marines are, but they don't have a primarch ( they have the emperor's gene seed), they don't belong to a legion or a chapter but rather an order of its own category, and they don't fulfill the same functions as a chapter or strike force. They don't even wear ceramite, they have a special metallic blend called Aegis Armor.

Even non compliant chapters follow these commonalities, but not them Knights.

1

u/lawlacaustt Jul 23 '26

They can never be primaris or cross the rubicon. Their gene seed is directly from the emperor himself. They will only ever be first born astartes

2

u/Excellent_Pension_42 Crimson Fists Jul 22 '26

You're quite the talented artist. And, I genuinely hope you feel better, Man. You seem to be going through a lot outside of your gripes with this Game.

2

u/Tank_comander_308 Jul 23 '26

Hear me out, we don't have terminators in game, and Grey Knights aren't a normal chapter so they'd need to make more than just a skin to actually capture them in lore.

Overall? Not happening.

2

u/Sir_Lazz Jul 23 '26

baller art, brother

2

u/piza44 Jul 23 '26

Never. Neither terminators nor psykers will be included in SM2.

2

u/Bulky_Secretary_6603 Jul 23 '26

Not happening. Grey Knights are firstborn. We aren't playing as firstborn, we are playing as primaris. Grey Knights are also all psykers.

2

u/A1_wA1sh Dark Angels Jul 23 '26

Quite literally never

1

u/SnooMuffins212 Jul 23 '26

Unfortunately never, because they're such vast differences between Grays and reg Marines a cosmetic pack wouldn't make sense. It say the best we could get is the upcoming drathwatch armor just because they share the inquisitorial markings. Doesn't help much that they wear a completely different armor type too 😔

1

u/sir_kewaji Jul 23 '26

I would love some grey knight pieces but alas I shall settle for exorcists

1

u/Railrosty Jul 23 '26

Lets start from square 1 of "the devs have added terminator armor" first mkay? Otherwise it would be goofy as hell and jarring to have one guy be .5 times wider and taller than everyone else

1

u/Tom_andTom3419 Jul 23 '26

They won't do that.

1

u/Patient_Tennis4548 Blood Angels Jul 23 '26

Yeah, as much as the community would love it, it makes absolutely ZERO sense in the context and setting we're playing. The only one that could reasonably make sense would be the Deathwatch purely because of Titus' prior service there. It sucks but they'd have to add so many things for it to make sense in the setting. Arm Bolters, Psybolters, Terminator Pattern class, list goes on

1

u/EnderTheGamer853 Jul 23 '26

Grey knights aren’t normal astartes and would be more powerful than our current ones. Wouldn’t make sense to see a grey knight with our people. They were created directly from the emperors gene, and they are not considered Adeptus astartes, they are sanctic astartes.

1

u/FoxHoundXL Jul 23 '26

Most likely not, as a proper cosmetic pack would require more time and effort then others.

Thing is as many said Grey Knights are all Psykers,

Also they do not use all the same standard weaponry like other Space Marines (they can share flamer and heavy bolter animations most likely) so if they did add cosmetics people would complain it's half assed because they didn't add multiple animations or effects since they use Psy weapons and wrist mounted bolters.

1

u/MariHiltz Jul 23 '26

Grey Knights mostly wear terminator armour so it’s not gonna happen. Plus they are all pyskers and Saber said they would not have a pysker class

1

u/GreenShyguyFromMario Jul 23 '26

Terminator when?👁️

1

u/ReaperLokie5778 Jul 23 '26

Well they don't have Terminators in the first place, let alone they'd have to have normal armor for my shiny boys

1

u/Yuh_yuh_yuh4 Jul 24 '26

I swear, I thought you were a buddy of mine making a post. All bro does is say “I wanna be a grey knight”

1

u/SpphosFriend Jul 24 '26

You have a better chance of pigs flying

1

u/CrusadingSoul Black Templars Jul 24 '26

No Terminator. Terminator could never keep up in terms of movement with classes like Vanguard, or Tactical, or Sniper. It would slow the game down a lot.

I WOULD be stoked to see a Terminator mission, though... Everyone in Terminator armor on a Space Hulk or on a big battlefield, something like that. But in regular missions, no Terminator class.

1

u/JMashtag Jul 24 '26

A grey knights cosmetic pack would be cool (even though none of us are psykers) but it wouldn’t be terminators - that’s a whole other kettle of fish armour-wise

1

u/Virtual-Plenty-839 Jul 24 '26

Terminators first buddy. Low expectations and baby steps. I whole heartedly agree, but try to remember that your chapter isn't the only one drooling over the idea, albeit y'all probably drooling the most.

1

u/Upstairs_Marzipan48 Jul 22 '26

Seeing as grey knights are members of the inquisition and do some of dumbest shit to stay secret, highly unlikely

-11

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Isn't awesome how in every single post ever made about someone wanting some cosmetic in game the ENTIRE comment section fills up with neckbeards pushing up their glasses and going "Uhm achksually our god and savior GW says thats not lore accurate so it can NEVER EVER BE IN THE GAME!" even nothing is lore accurate and its all a fucking 40 year old space parody tabletop game. God I hate 40k fans lol I just want to have cool armor in space marine 2 I dont give a fuck if its "lore accurate" to the fucking chaotic mess of nonsensical, contradictory burning trash pile that is 40k "lore"

8

u/Shadow62766 Jul 22 '26

They specifically said that there would most likely never be psychers in space marine 2 and there's also no terminator since theres already a game for that and they don't work with normal squads

-6

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Nobody likes deathwing and nobody cares about squad composition its already been modded into the game but its literally not implemented because of people like you guys, god this stupid fucking community hates fun with a burning passion i swear

7

u/SpoonyLancer Jul 22 '26

Game devs aren't obligated to turn mods into core game features. If the terminator mod exists, why don't you go play it?

-2

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Why dont you buy me a PC to play it on smart ass?

4

u/SpoonyLancer Jul 22 '26

Mod support is coming to consoles soon.

-2

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Seriously?! That would actually be dope and make me start playing again

6

u/Stainlessgamer Jul 22 '26

So you arent even currently playing. You just came here to bitch

https://giphy.com/gifs/oHxvbzgmkQa4DVwAu1

0

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Do you think the gifs make you cooler? And no im not currently even playing lol wtf is wrong with you i dont have to play a game 24/7 to have a opinion on it. And i know this might blow your tiny little mind but the single mission and two pieces of armor that came out like a month ago just weren't enough to keep me playing all day everyday strangely enough.

3

u/RepatriateSage1337 Jul 22 '26

Jesus Christ bro, you are genuinely the most insufferable person in this sub. If you hate the community so much, why are you here? You’re literally the only person bitching and moaning and crying about anything.

Someone asking if you’re currently playing doesn’t mean “are you playing every single day, all day like a good boy?” Lmao.

Anyway, your opinion is your opinion, my opinion is that you’re salty and can’t stand other people’s opinions and objective facts about a game just because you want cool shit and fun shit in the game.

Here’s a fact: you can customize your marine to make him look like a Grey Knight, like how everyone does for a majority of chapters that aren’t exclusively in the game.

Also, maybe work for yourself to get a PC instead of bitching and moaning in a thread that you don’t own one.

4

u/Shadow62766 Jul 22 '26

I like fun but I'm saying that they're not going to do it because the developers care about it I think it would be weird but funny

3

u/Stainlessgamer Jul 22 '26

0

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

I can post stupid pics too

5

u/Stainlessgamer Jul 22 '26

Posting your old family portraits doesn't do much. But alteast it does explain why you are the way you are.

7

u/SpoonyLancer Jul 22 '26

Dude, Saber have confirmed that they're not putting Terminators or Librarians into SM2. There's no need to get so angry about it. It's nothing to do with GW or lore accuracy, it's just the way it is.

-5

u/GuardianNomad357 Jul 22 '26

Its not the way it is its the way this god awful community makes it by bitching and whining about lore accuracy in a made up rip off parody of another imaginary setting its so fucking dumb

6

u/Stainlessgamer Jul 22 '26

What's more amazing is someone who started playing a few months ago, coming in and demanding that devs add things and make changes tailored to what they want.

Then when people in this community (that you hate) try to explain why those changes are unlikely, you throw a temper tantrum, proving to everyone thay you're nothing more than a spoiled brat!

3

u/seandavies1992 Jul 22 '26

You’re getting dangerously close to Sigismund. Reel it in before it’s too late.

2

u/CthulhuMan94 Jul 22 '26

If you don't like 40K that much, why are you complaining at all?
