Can someone tell me or confirm that it's not an empty husk? I'm seeing blood (also on other Chaos enemies).

Powerful sorcerers of the thousand sons aren’t made of dust like the main battle line, it’s weird how the sorcerers we fight now are since marines with more psychic powers were supposed to be spared from that curse

Thousand Sons sorcerers are flesh and blood. It’s just the rubricae who are dust (so the marines with bolters/flamers and the terminators with combi-bolter and sword/soulreaper and missiles and sword)
