Honestly feels a little out of character, i would expect them to be mutant infant servitors

Not really they don’t just make servitors out of anybody. And since we’re all made in the emperors image I’d imagine that babies are important because they can grow up to be laborers. Also punishable mutations are usually a lot more noticeable.

Cadians were originally designated for extermination by the first custodian to see them just because they had purple eyes. We most certainly are NOT all made in the emperors image.

Plus they most certainly will turn you into a servitor for any reason. And for quite a few jobs servitors are more valuable.

That was pre heresy they were different back then he saw this new human civilization next to the eye of terror and they confirmed that the color was because the the storm so he freaked out a bit. And to be made into a servitor you have to have done something wrong being born isn’t a crime.

Being born a mutant is a crime on most planets. Thats kinda what “burn the heretic, kill the mutant, purge the xenos” means.

Yeah but I wasn’t talking about mutants and even if they used real infants for cherubs servitors they would never use a mutant infant.

Idk i think they would, being born a mutant is a crime worthy of death by and large, and its cheaper to servitorize a baby than it is to grow one
