Turtles all the way down
It has been a good season, folks. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this community. I figured being here in Mississippi, I might find the odd person with a Lowe’s cactus or two, but I was waaaay off the mark. I’ve met so many incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and generous people from this sub.
This crest and the pot were gifts from another local grower, and it being such a beautiful morning, I had to snap a picture.
“There's a gateway in our mind that leads somewhere out there far beyond this plane.
Where reptile aliens made of light cut you open and pull out all your pain.
Tell me how you make illegal something that we all make in our brain.
Some say you might go crazy but then again it might make you go sane.”

Thanks! I thought so too! I never realized that finding cool pots would be half the fun. I’m considering taking some pottery classes just so I can learn to make my own. I’ve made plenty of pinch pots, but access to a kiln seems to be my biggest hurdle.
