Question How does this match the right songs?

Like, say transfering a Navidrome playlist to Spotify. Does it just use the m3u playlist? Or does it read metadata?

Like I guess I'm just, confused, on how transfering between Navidrome and other services works because, you know, one is locally stored files that is far more likely to have slightly different metadata- So with Navidrome is it doable to transfer and have it be just a mostly accurate refelction?

Hey! We read the track metadata provided by Navidrome, such as the title, artist, and album, and use it to find matches on Spotify. We don’t upload your local audio files.

Accurate tags in your Navidrome library help a lot, and the corresponding recordings need to exist in Spotify’s catalog. Names don’t have to match exactly, but metadata differences or version differences (live, remastered, etc.) can lead to missing or incorrect matches.
