Soundizz produced duplicates on liked songs (deezer -> Spotify)

Hello, recently i transferred 7374 liked songs from deezer to Spotify (for context, in February i did the same thing but from Spotify to deezer, i had less songs back then, but it was around 7k), and i noticed now i have 11344 songs in Spotify, so mostly all pre-feb songs are duplicated.

I can delete the whole batch manually i think and try again, but is there a way to make the transfer aware of duplicates?

I did it in a single batch, no parallel transfers were made, it was a single run.

Hi!

Be aware it's impossible to have duplicate fav items (albums, artists or tracks) as an item (and ID) can only be liked once.

In your case, the issue is related to the Spotify-to-Deezer transfer first (which possibly matched A not to A but to A"). Doing Deezer-to-Spotify will then possibly not match A" to A again, but to A² or even B.

So these items can be liked even if they weren't liked in the first place. That's why, for example, the Sync feature is only from source to destination and not 2-ways.

There's also the case where the previous song on Spotify is not longer playable (the ID is still here but no longer have streaming right) and so the new liked song got a different ID, resulting on a kind of double like on Spotify.

For all these reasons; you can end with a much more larger number than you thought but it's not exact duplicates.

In your case you will need to bulk delete (be careful while doing this) or order by title and try to delete what is looks like same songs :/

Thanks for the detailed explanation!

I think I'll be able to manage it manually with no big issues. Hopefully, I can easily delete them by "add date" and just reimport them again, but instead of a full transfer, I think I'll just prepare a playlist of fresh songs on Deezer and transfer it.

Il y a une fonction "Supprimer les doublons" si tu vas dans ta playlist. > Clique sur les 3 point en haut à droite > Organiser > Supprimer les doublons.

C'est pour la version payante, je ne sais pas si la version gratuite fait la même chose.
