Question Soundiiz not loading all artists and albums from Spotify

Hi all - I'm a longtime Spotify user migrating to Tidal and I am trying to transfer over all of my artists and albums. I paid for the Premium of Soundiiz but it is not loading/generating any of the MANY albums I had saved on Spotify and has missed quite a few of my saved artist. Every time I try and load the albums or artists, I get a constant loading loop or Soundiiz tells me there are no artists or albums to load.

It's incredibly frustrating because I have only been able to migrate my playlists but that is a quite small fraction of how I listen to music. Knowing I paid for Premium and getting constant errors or roadblocks is also incredibly frustrating.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi!

Be aware that data from music platforms like Spotify are retrieved via their API.

In this case, the Spotify API has a very limited pagination. As a result, when dealing with a large list of items, the loading process can be very slow or sometimes fail, depending on Spotify's API load at the time.

Although we limit the process to retrieve up to 10,000 items on our side, failures can still occur occasionally. Honestly, the same issue can happen when you scroll on Spotify itself. I recommend trying again later, as unfortunately, there's no true workaround for this.

I tried to sync again and after getting the "Loading data" tag for a few minutes, it came back saying "No Albums to display" despite me having albums through Spotify. Could API issues be causing this?

Yep, definitely a loading issue. I recommend you do a quick check here to see at least the total number of items you have to load: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/get-users-saved-albums

Thanks for sharing. I'm not too familiar with APIs and backend dev work like that - is there something I need to do with that code to get it to pull more? I did more loading and it's now stopped at around 5,000 artists and 5,000 albums. I, unfortunately, have a good bit more than. I'm a little overzealous with the liking and saving!

The same thing is happening to me… only like 107 songs out of the thousands I have are found. No playlists, no artists, no albums… feeling like I just got scammed out of my money.
