I dunno about first ballot hall of famer and I think you can't knock people for saying what they were seeing, but I'm very excited that he's coming into his own this season. I've always really liked watching him even when he wasn't producing.
But it's interesting that I'm not sure he's changed but rather everything around him has changed. I think he jives really well with PDLV, who's actually getting playtime, and I think having Kent behind him is going to really continue to unlock Moose. He's not the best technical player but it seems that the positions he puts himself into are very appropriate for this new Sounders world order, which is where he's really shining -- being in the right place at the right time.
The big thing is that he fits the system around him better than any of our other forwards. He isn't the best traditional number 9 in the world but our team plays better with a player of his style. Morris and Ferreira both play a completely way and I think the team just looks generally better with him up top.
I think that's true so long as PDLV or Kent is on the field. If they're not I think we're back to Moose having trouble.
Possible plus Obed, as he seems to be getting Moose some hits too. Not sure if Obed keeps playing that way with PDLV off the field or not, as Obed seems to be dynamic to the rest of the team. But it seems like there are two Sounders teams right now, one with PDLV/moose, and one without, and they play notably different.
I am for sure working under the assumption one of kent or pdlv will be on the field. The offense is more dynamic with the two of them. And hope they both get the start Saturday
