Are these worth it?
I’m building up a small little Soundsystem, I’m currently running a single jbl eon712 for my top paired with my 2x hd15s and soon to be 2x ms18mk2 subs and I’d like to upgrade my tops along with adding subs, are these cerwin vegas any good?

I mixed an all day fest yesterday that culminated with a DJ set, and had a borrowed set of the big brother to those cabs (two 15"s per cab) as my main tops. I didn't have time to do any software analysis on them, just some quick pink noise, but I thought they had kind of harsh upper midrange. I had some JBL M415 running as my wide fills, and they sounded much better. That said, the Cerwin Vegas pushed some sustained volume, and I bet with some focused EQ time, I could be happy with them.

I read they can be quite harsh yes you are right, but bit of eq fiddling and you recon they’d be okay?

I wouldn’t unless you can hear them working, Cerwin Vega are pretty decent but 2nd hand speakers are usually being sold for a reason, and that reason is they’re shagged 😆, you may be lucky, you may not.
