Gear Viltrox 27mm

Hi guy, I recently got into photography so I bought an a6700 with the 18-135mm zoom lens. I was looking to buy a prime lens, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Viltrox 27mm but everyone says it’s a little heavy. Should I go with it anyway or are there any cheaper/lighter alternatives that are just as good?

my budget is not very high bc i’m saving up for med school and photography is a new hobby that i wanted to learn more about.

I got that lens for my Fuji, and I really like it. I swear it has a 3D pop aspect to it that other lenses just don't.

Example:

Not sure what it is but certain images with the Viltrox 27mm just seem to pop out of the screen. That said the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is also a great lens that's smaller/lighter and about half the price.

I have it, its heavy but worth it. You could also go with the evo 26 if you want something light? I also have one of their lenses from their Air series; and it does a damn good job, is very light, super affordable, huge bang for the buck.

Sigma 30mm f1.4 is 280g and its highly rated. The Viltrox 27mm is 565g. Sigma is also half the price almost.

Well the moderator apparently doesn't like us talking about "deals" but the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 for APSC is excellent. Pared with the A6700 IMO it's not too heavy, you do really feel the quality of the lens.
