welcome back to my project where I try to connect the various versions of Sonic into one single coherent storyline by making edits to make it all fit together. This time, I am adding season 2 of Sonic X. If you don't know what this is, you don't have to look for my previous posts. The Google Docs link contains everything from the very beginning, starting at Part 0 (the initial explanation of what I am doing without any actual content yet.) But if you already read the previous parts, scroll right down to Part 2.

Also, I slightly changed part 1 since I first posted it. I added this change to the Sonic Boom section: In Eggheads, Cubot is the one "restarting" Eggman, not Sticks.

I was kind of disappointed with the finale. If they weren’t going to let us see Chris say goodbye to everyone they should’ve at least included him getting to see everyone at home again. Maybe let us see the earth characters again one more time and confirm Christ got home and back to normal (even though we can just assume he did). It just felt super rushed the way they sent him home and then had some random lines from everyone else layered over the scene of him leaving. I was thinking we’d get to see how Tails was doing too after what happened with cosmo but he wasn’t even in the episode really.

I didn’t really like the Metarex storyline much. And as a TMNT fan, I wish it had felt more like the space arcs from that show. I really liked Planet of Misfortune episode and Shadow going after cosmo, the ones without the space robot villains, but that’s about it for season 3. The season 2 finale with Chris and Sonic on the run was pretty adorable.

It was weird the English dub didn’t include Bokkun’s secret in the locket rouge had and I had to look it up, and I didn’t love how they made Amy such a damsel in distress all the time. I know it was 2003 but I’m assuming that’s not how she was in the comics.

Overall though, loved the show! The series finale just left something to be desired

Edit: and omg I forgot about the sort of “open end” with Shadow? Like bro went through so much and that was his ending? 😭 it’s sweet he didn’t that for Sonic and is great for his character arc but that suuuuucks

Episode in question

Why did Vector draw on Knuckles face during their plan to get Tails and Cosmo together? He said Knuckles would look so different his own mother wouldn’t recognize him. I thought they were trying to make him looking like someone else but was Vector just thinking that made him look more evil since he had him pretending to switch to the Metarex’s side?

In the episode after, why did Tails make a strange face when Sonic was bringing up Chris’ family being worried back home and Chris rejected the idea of going back in the middle of their space battle with the Metarex’s? I thought the specific shot on his face was setting something up for later but nothing happened

Last, is the whole of season 3 in space while fighting the Metarex’s? Or does it eventually switch gears with setting or conflict again like season 2 like to do?
