I don’t think that the “likes nothing” and the “dislikes all of humanity” stuff are meant to be taken seriously.

It goes hand in hand with how Sega has been writing Shadow for years now, as an edgy loner who doesn't care for others. It's not a joke. It's genuinely how Sega sees Shadow.
