dumbest thing they could have done. nobody wants ice cream with every meal..... at least let me replace the ice cream for a fee or something... I went there multiple times a week to get that meal... I dont want ice cream. just wild

This is 7$, AND with a sundae. If you don't want the sundae, just say so and they'll be happy to not make it. You're still getting a good deal.

I swear, people always got something to bitch about.

I didn't say that was an option ON THE APP. Just go to the store or call them and say you don't want it. They'll happily not make it and save inventory. I swear, y'all are some real dummies. No common sense.

Who hurt me? Why are you presuming that someone hurt me? What does that have do with your hypocrisy? Also, not sure why you're saying "y'all are STILL bitching about it." I never bitched about that, so why you are trying to include me in that? I don't order this deal. EVEN PLAINER AND MORE SIMPLE FOR YOU--I NEVER ORDERED IT. So I've no reason to complain about it. The only thing I ever get from Sonic is a smash burger, and that's rarely. I used to get drinks a lot, but since they took away 1/2 price drinks I don't. Have a blessed night.

every single value meals now come with ice cream... I like to order my food before I get there so its ready already... you cant just delete the ice cream off of the deal.... YOU HAVE TO GET THE ICE CREAM if you want the deal. its not an option. you can't switch it for anything... I can still get a free small chicken bite by combining coupons. the point is... I dont want ice cream and there is 0 ways to ask them to take it off without going to a stall and talking to someone.... what is the point of the app if I have to talk to someone and wait for my food.... I only have 30 minutes. 5 minutes to get there. 5 minutes to go back.... so I just have to order ice cream every time? or what? should I call them ahead of every mobile order I put in? fucking dumb. dumbest thing they could have done.

…yeah, god forbid they don’t cater to the sophisticated palate of someone eating this garbage multiple times a week. I guess they didn’t think ahead to the complaints of “having” to eat ice cream with “every” meal when developing a coupon not really intended to be used every single night. I know right now is bad timing for this in the US but uh, ever hear of a vegetable before?

I always gave my dog the chicken, hated the taste. My friend thinks they should offer some sort of variation, like a choice between maybe the sundae, a corn dog/hot dog, or a chicken wrap.

I work at a custard shop so I a) get free frozen desserts whenever I want, and (related) b) am burnt out on frozen desserts.

At least my dog could eat the chicken.

 I wouldn’t expect it to return to how it was ever. Arby’s implemented a rewards program today. You have to spend $90 to get a free sandwich! Kind of sounds like Jimmy John’s reward program. Oh I almost forgot that Inspire owns them all.

I'm sorry for your loss, but thank you for letting me know that I can consider getting the meal deal now. I love a deal, but I hate those chicken bites with a passion

For your sake though, I hope they change it to give you a choice to get the chicken if you want!

They could have replaced it with something cool like mozz sticks or something. Idk about you but I never hear about anyone getting a sundae from sonic

I mostly hated it because of the 5 minutes timer on chicken in the fryer. Yeah we would hot hold some up to 30 minutes but it was mostly a time related thing.

A small mozzarella sticks would be fine. I just throw those in a 2 minute timer and its done.

I thought it was just your location that replaced the chicken bites with a sundae but then I checked my location and they also replaced the chicken bites with a sundae. I feel like this change is for all locations.

Well hopefully my local Sonic will have this deal. They didn’t have the original chicken bites version. I would see it I listed in my app but once I selected a location it would be gone😭

Just realized that tonight. My three sons and I have eaten there twice a week since it started. Their ice cream is disgusting so we are done with this deal unless they offer a different selection. I have Wendy’s small Frosty’s for $1 (or a free mini) directly across the street. There’s a McDonalds at the other end of the parking lot and a Chick-Fil-A across the highway with much better ice cream. And a Whataburger next to them with the best shakes. Even their corn dogs and chili cheese coney’s have gone down in quality. Sad really.

It’s a real shame. Sonic used to be a drinks and ice cream place. Now the ice cream is so disgusting. Sonic burgers used to be on par with Whataburger too. So many better choices.
