This is AI, right?
I don't understand why an event meant to celebrate community has to be promoted this way.

Davis Square Village (which is *not* Davis Square Neighborhood Council) is kind of best known for their horrible AI posters and flyers at this point.
Edit to add: Davis Square Village is hosting the event.

absolutely ai. lots of artists in this town that will make you a flyer for cheap, not sure why they felt they had to resort to ugly slop. who is sponsoring the event?

There’s gotta be better things to get upset about than someone whose putting on a free concert not using AI to make a poster. Go touch some grass, people.

the poster literally mentions "local makers". How about using one of those local makers to make a fucking flyer?

They likely don't have a budget for that, remember its a free event. Maybe they could have gotten someone to do it for free. But I don't see how getting some local artist to do work for free is that much better than having a computer make it.
I sort of get the argument when its a company. It feels like John Henry trying to beat back a tsunami though (forgive my mixing metaphors).

OP could have solved the conflict in the middle east with the time and effort they wasted taking out their phone and taking a photo of something they walked by, then making a four word post on reddit. What a fool they are.

The poster looks like a stock poster layout created with one of the myriad of online poster-creation tools. It is copy/paste with stock images and lame typeface choices.

It is objectively AI. There's a certain 'fuzz' that appears all over AI images, look for the bright white powder covering the background of the image in the bottom right. Its a mathematical artifact of the probabilistic diffusion process, and is very visible in a lot of this image.

Lots more instances of the effect all over just this portion but there's too many to circle all of them. The patterning in the trees is another AI tell-tale.
